Eligibility:

M.Sc. in Anthropology:  Candidate should any Bachelor's Degree in Science including Medicine  and Dental from any university/ institution recognized by UGC.

B.Sc graduates with Anthropology as a major/optional subject will be given preference.

M.Sc. in Applied Geology:  Degree of this university or of any other university offering Geology as a cognate subject together with any other science combinations. Candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as majors are also eligible for admission subject to their taking two additional make up courses in I year M.Sc.

Note: 50% of the seats are reserved for candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics combination Botany: B.Sc. with Botany as a major /optional subject.

M.Sc. in Biochemistry:  B.Sc. with Biochemistry/Chemistry as a major/optional subject.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology:  Candidates with Bachelor's Degree in Science including Agriculture, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Medicine, Veterinary, Dairy, Fisheries, Horticulture, Forestry from any University recognized by  UGC/ICAR/AICTE/ Medical Council with an aggregate minimum of 55% marks.

M.Sc. in Chemistry:  B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the major/optional subject, provided the candidate has studied Mathematics as one of the optional subject in the Two Year P.U.C. or equivalent.

M.Sc. in Criminology and Forensic Science:  Candidate should hold Degree in Criminology / Criminology and Forensic Science /Forensic Science/L.L.B Degree in Science in any specialization .

M.Sc. in Environmental Science:  Any science graduate with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of SC/ST/Cat-I candidates).

M.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition:  B.Sc. in Home Science/any one of the following subjects as one option at B.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition/Human Nutrition and Dietetics/Clinical  Nutrition and Dietetics/Food Science and Quality Control and from Medical and Para-medical courses (MBBS, BSc- Nursing, BSc- Yoga and Naturopathy) are eligible to apply. 

M.Sc. in Genetics: Any Bachelor's Degree in Life Science including Medicine, Pharmacy, Dental, B.E. in Biotechnology, Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences from any university/institution recognized by UGC/ICAR/AICTE/Medical Council.

M.Sc. in Geography:  Candidate should hold B.A / B.Sc.  Degree with Geography as a major/optional subject.

M.Sc. in Geology: Candidate should pass exam of B.Sc. with Geology as a major/ optional subject.

M.Sc. in  Human Development:  Pass exam of B.Sc. in Home Science/ Family and community Science with specialization /Integrated /Composite; B.Sc./B.A. Human Development/Child Development/Home Science specialization/ Composite or one optional are eligible to apply for Master's Degree program in Human Development.

B.Sc. in Care and Welfare as a composite/ one optional are also eligible to apply.

M.Sc. in Mathematics: B.Sc. with Mathematics as major/ optional subject.

OR 

 B.Sc.Ed. Degree of Regional Institute of Education with Mathematics as a special subject.

M.Sc. in Microbiology: Pass exam in B.Sc. with Microbiology as one of the major/optional subjects from University of Mysore or any other

M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry:  Pass exam in B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the optionals, provided the candidate has studied Mathematics as one of the optionals in two year P.U.C. or equivalent.

M.Sc. in Physics: Hold Degree of B.Sc. with Physics and Mathematics as major/ optional subjects or B.Sc.Ed. degree of Regional Institute of Education with Physics as a special subject

M.Sc. in Psychology:  Hold Degree of B.A / B.Sc. with Psychology as a Major or Optional subject

Or

M.Ed or B.Sc./M.Sc. (Speech and Hearing) with minimum 60% in Psychology.

M.Sc. in Sericulture and Seri Biotechnology: B.Sc. with Sericulture as one of the cognate subjects of the study or any Life Science/Biological Science /Agricultural Science subjects.

M.Sc. in Statistics: B.Sc. with Statistics and Mathematics are the subjects.

OR

B.Sc. in Mathematics subject with 60% of marks.

M.Sc. in Zoology: B.Sc. Degree with Zoology as a major /optional subject or B.Sc. Ed. with C.B.Z.(RIE Scheme) or equivalent.

M.Sc. in Molecular Biology: Students of Bachelor's  Degree of Science from any UGC recognized universities with life science subjects are eligible. Students from professional degrees such as Pharmacy, Dental, Agriculture, Medicine, Veterinary, Engineering with Life Science are also eligible. Students from Foreign National degree will apply through equivalence committee. Minimum percentage of marks is as prescribed by the University of Mysore regulations for admission.

M.Sc. in Information Technology: Candidate should hold B.Sc. Degree with Computer Science or Mathematics as one of the optional/ Any degree with Diploma in Computer Application/ BCA/ B.Tech/ B.E in any stream.

For all Stream minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

In case of SC/ST category minimum marks shall be obtained 40% marks.

M.Tech (2 year)

Specialization:

Eligibility:

M.Tech. in Urban and Regional Planning: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering/ Architecture/Physical Planning /AMIE Grade-IA/Master Degree in Geography/Economics/Sociology/Sponsored/deputed Candidates from Government/Semi-Government /Quasi Government/College/Department teachers sponsored from Engineering Colleges with any one of the above said qualifications with a minimum of 2 years of working experience are also eligible for admission under the quota reserved for them.

M.Tech. in Computer Science Technology:  Candidates who have passed B.Sc. with Computer Science / Computer Application as an Optional with 50% marks in cognate subject.

Candidates should have studied Mathematics as a major or a minor subject in their B.Sc. Degree. 

5% Relaxation in case of SC, ST category.

M.Tech.in Materials Science: A pass in B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Geology Polymer, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Environ-mental Science, Sericulture, Computer Science, Food Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Forensic Science) (3 Years coursework with an option to exit after 2 years with M.Sc. Degree.)

OR

A pass in B.E / MBBS / B.Tech / B.Pharma / BDS / B.Sc. (Ag) (anybranch) M.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry , Geology, Polymer, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Environmental Science, Sericulture, Computer Science, Food Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Forensic Science, Nanotechnology).

M.S. Animation at CIST MGM  (2 year)

Eligibility: 

50% Of seat allotted to B.A./B.Com. with one Computer Science subject

50% Seat allotted for B.Sc. degree with Computer Science/Any Degree with Diploma in Computer Application/BFA/B.Visual Communication /BCA/B.Tech./B.E. in any discipline.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 45% in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST )

Selection Process: Selection of the candidate is based on marks obtained in entrnace test.

MLISc (1 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should have passed any Bachelor's Degree  exam from recognised board/college.

MCA (3 year)

Eligibility:  Pass Bachelor's Degree exam or BCA from recognised board.

Selection Process: Through Karnataka Examination Authority.

MOU: Faculty of Commerce

M.Com (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold  Degree of B.Com/BBM/BBA from University of Mysore or any other recognised university.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 45%. Relaxation of 5% is available for SC/ST category.

MBA in Agri Business Management (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should be a Graduate  in Commerce/Business Management and Business Administration (B.Com/ BBM/ BBA), B.Sc. in Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/Agricultural Marketing/Agricultural Economics/Dairy Science/Veterinary Science/ Fisheries/Food and Nutrition, Sericulture, Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Bio-Technology. B.A. in Economics/or equivalent degree from any Indian/Foreign universities.

MOU: Faculty of Education

M.Ed (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programs:

i) B.Ed

ii) B.A.B.Ed, B.Sc.B.Ed

iii) B.El.Ed. iv) D.El.Ed.

Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other applicable categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government whichever is applicable.

M.P.Ed (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Degree of Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or equivalent with at least 50% marks.

Or

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Health and Physical Education with at least 50% marks.

The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government whichever is applicable.

LLM (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass exam of LLB 3 year/ 5 year integrated law from recognised board/college.

B.A LLB  and B.Com LLB (5 year)

Eligibility: Pass 10+2 with minimum 45% marks.

Minimum 40% marks for SC/ST and 42% for OBC candidates.

Eligibility:  Candidate should have completed their Bachelor's Degree with Economics as one of the Cognate Subjects, B.Sc., with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the Cognate Subjects in Bachelor's Program, B.Com, BBM and Students with Master's Degree in Social Science, Commerce and Management are eligible to get admission in this Course.
