Eligibility:

Ph.D. in Pharmacy: Candidate should hold M. Pharm/ M.S. Oharm/ Pharm-D  Degree with minimum 55% marks.

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Ph.D. in Chemistry: Candidate should hold M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry or equivalent in allied areas with minimum 55% marks.

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates. 

Ph.D. in Physics: Candidate should hold M.Sc. in Physics or M.Sc./ M.E/ M.Tech Degree or equivalent in allied areas with minimum 55% marks.

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Ph.D. in Mathematics: Candidate should hold M.Sc. (Mathematics) or equivalent Degree in allied areas with minimum 55% marks.

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Ph.D. in Computer Application:  Candidate should hold any of the following Degree with minimum 55% marks.

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology: Candidate should hold M.Sc. Degree in Food Science and Technology/ Microbial and Food Technology/ Food and Nutrition/ Dairy Technology or M. Tech. in Food Technology/ Food Engineering from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 55% .

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Ph.D. in Textile: Candidate should hold M.Tech/ M.E in Textile Technology/ Textile Engg./ Textile Chemical Processing or equivalent in allied areas with minimum 55% marks.

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Ph.D. in Computer Science: Candidate should hold M.Tech/ M.E Degree  in CSE/ ECE/ IT or equivalent with minimum 55% marks.

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Ph.D. in Civil: Candidate should hold M.Tech/ M.E Degree in Civil Engg. or equivalent Degree with 55% marks.

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering: Candidate should hold M.Tech/ M.E  Degree in EE/ ECE/ EEE/ E&I or equivalent with minimum 55% marks.

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication: Candidate should hold M.Tech/ M.E Degree in ECE/ EE/ EEE/ E&I/ CSE/ IT or equivalent in allied areas with minimum 55% marks.

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates. 

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering:   Candidate should hold M.Tech /M.E Degree  in Mech./ Production/Industrial/Design/ CAD/CAM or in equivalent Degree with minimum 55% marks. 

Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Ph.D. in Commerce and Management:  Candidate should hold  

Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate in the subject concerned. Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

(a) Business Administration or Economics or Commerce or in allied subjects

(b) Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) recognized equivalent to MBA by AICTE

(c) Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, Public Administration, Operations Research and Engineering

Master's Degree in Technology and other relevant disciplines related with the built environment with basic degree in Architecture/Planning will also be eligible with minimum 55% marks. Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates.

Selection for all streams: Valid Score in Entrance Test.

Candidates who wish to apply for Ph.D course, should visit official website of the university to apply online.

Candidate can Download Application Form.

Separate application form should be used for each department/ discipline if applying for more than one department.

Enclose self attested copies of all relevant certificates.

Dully filled application form must reach to the following address through registered pot/ by hand before lat date.

Compulsory Certificates to be attached/ submitted

1. Qualifying Degree Certificate (QDC) OR Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC).

2. In the cases, where, the QDC has not been issued or Convocation of the Univ./Inst. has not been held on this date, PDC MUST be submitted for confirming the admission. However, QDC is a MUST. Students must submit the QDC as soon as it is issued by the Univ./Institute.

3. Detail Mark-sheet (All Semesters) and Degree/ certificate for all educational qualifications  (UG/PG/Matric).

4. Date of Birth Certificate /10th class leaving certificate.

5. Qualifying Exam certificate or (GATE/GPAT/NET/ CSIR/UGC/ MPhill or any other) - (in Original).

6. PET result cad of MRSPTU (if applicable).

7. Migration /Transfer Certificate (in Original).

8. Experience Certificate (In service candidates).

9. Self-attested Copies of R. Publications in SCI Journals, if any.

 Certificates to be attached /submitted, if applicable.

1. Caste Certificate (SC/ST/BC), Category certificate (BA/S/PWD/FF/SG/Ts/Sports as applicable as per the university requirements), Physically Handicapped Certificate (for PH category students).

2. No Objection certificate (NOC) from employer (for in-service candidates).

3. Relieving Certificate (for all candidates, irrespective of category, who are/were working at the time of admission).

4. Fellowship/Scholarship Certificate (for Sponsored/Fellowship/Scholarship category students) .

5. Original copy of the letter from sponsoring authority.

Exam Detail

Total Marks: 100 Total Time : 90 min.

Section -I: Research Methodology /Quantitative & Logical Aptitude/Language Skills : 40 MCQs of 1.25 mark each = 50 marks.

Section -II: Knowledge of the Subject of Specialization : 40 MCQs of 1.25 mark each = 50 marks.

No negative marking for wrong answer.

Un-attempted questions will carry zero marks.
