The Central University of Rajasthan (CUR)  has been established by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 25 of 2009, The Gazette of India, No. 27, published on 20th March, 2009 as a new Central University, and is fully funded by the Government of India.

Permanent Site for the University: The state government has allocated 518+ Acres of land for the permanent site of the Central University at Bandra Sindri near Kishangarh on Jaipur – Ajmer Road (NH-8).

The University encompasses an expansive campus sprawling across 518 acres, boasting lush greenery and a serene environment. The built-up area spans approximately 1.44 lakh square meters and encompasses well-appointed academic buildings comprising ICT-enabled seminar halls, classrooms, laboratories, and administrative offices. To facilitate seamless connectivity, the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, offering one-GBPS connectivity. Accommodation facilities include four hostels for male students and an equal number for female students, accommodating a total capacity of approximately 2,850 students. The girls' hostels feature individual mess facilities, while the boys' hostels provide a spacious common mega mess capable of serving 500 students. Additionally, the University boasts a university-level auditorium and three seminar halls equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, catering to both curricular and extracurricular activities. Moreover, the institution provides 120 staff quarters, a dedicated health center, comprehensive sports and gym facilities, and other essential infrastructure to support the overall well-being and needs of its stakeholders.
