Karnataka State Dr Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University (KSDGHMPA) invites eligible candidate for admission to the following programs for the academic year 2023-2024

BPA (3 year)

Specialization: Drama, Dance, Hindustani / Carnatic Classical Vocal Music, Tabla, Mrudanga, Veena, Violin 

Eligibility: Pass 10+2 or Diploma in Performing Arts.

Language: Kannada/ Sanskrit, English.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Examination.

M.A. in Music (2 year)

Specialization: Hindustani Classical Music, Carnatic Classical Music, Drama, Bharatantya, Tabla,  Mrudanga, Veena, Violin 

Eligibility: B.A/B. Music/BA Music/BFA (in PA)  

Or

Any other equivalent Degree from a recognized University.

Selection Process: Valid Score in the Entrance Examination conducted by the Vishwavidyalaya.

Diploma in Music (2 year)

Eligibility: Pass in 10+2 exam from recognised board.

Language: Kannada/ Sanskrit, English.

Selection Process: Valid Score in the Entrance Examination conducted by the Vishwavidyalaya.

Karnataka State Dr Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University (KSDGHMPA) Admission Process 2023

Applicants of MPA and D.litt candidates have to clear the Viva test for admission in their choice of programes. On the basis of the candidate’s performance necessary approvals for admission will be sanctioned to candidate. 

Applications received after the due date will only be considered.

There shall be no provision for revaluation in respect of entrance examination.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories should submit Caste certificate dully attested by a Gazetted Officer. Otherwise, the application is automatically considered under the General Category.

The results of common entrance test will be announced in university notice board before the admission.

The university reserves all rights to accept or reject the application. 

Documents required to be submitted along with the application form: 

• Attested photocopies of mark-sheets and certificates of qualifying examinations.
• Proof of date of birth.
• Transfer certificate must be submitted in original at the time of admission. On the recommendation from the head of the department, a period of one month will be given to submit the migration certificate.
• Caste certificate.
• Photo copies.
