Jaypee University of Information Technology  (JUIT) offers admissions to the following programs for the academic year 2020-2021

B.Tech (4 year)

Specialization:

• Biotechnology
• Bioinformatics
• Computer Science & Engineering
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Information Technology
• Civil 

Eligibility:

B.Tech. in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics: Minimum 60% aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent with Biology/ Biotechnology and Physics combination.

Selection Process: Valid Score in JEE MAIN/Merit based.

• 50% seats are allotted through JEE Main.
• 50% through merit in the qualifying examination.

For merit based admission, candidate has go through counselling conducted by the university

B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology,  Civil:  Minimum 60% aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and one out of the following subjects:

Chemistry, Computer Science, Informatic Practices, Multimedia & Web Technology, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Graphics and English.

Selection Process: Valid Score in in JEE MAIN.

Fees: Rs. 8,60,000/- Total

Note:

• 30% concession in B.Tech. Tuition Fees to wards of serving & Ex Armed & PMF Personnel.
• 35% concession in B.Tech. Tuition Fees to Wards of Veer Naris (War Widows) & Persons with disabilities (PWD).

M.Tech (2 year)

Specialization:

• Biotechnology

Eligibility:

M.Tech. in Biotechnology: Hold PG Degree in Life Science, MBBS, B.VSc, B.Pharm/ B.Tech. in Biotechnology. 

M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering: Candidate should have passed B.E/B.Tech in related stream.

M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering: Hold  B.E/B. Tech Degree in ECE /other equivalent Degree/ M. Sc ( Electronics/Physics).

M.Tech. in Civil Engineering: Hold B.E/B. Tech Degree in Civil/Chemical/Environmental Engineering/ other equivalent Degree.

Selection Process: Valid Score in GATE/PGET.

Fees: Rs. 2,00,000/- Total

M.Sc. (2 year)

Specialization:

• Physics
• Statistics 
• Biotechnology
• Bioinformatics

Eligibility:

M.Sc. in Physics and Statistics:  Candidate should hold Degree of  B.Sc. (Hons.)/ B.Sc. under regular study pattern securing the minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology and  Bioinformatics: Candidate should hold B.Sc. General or B.Sc. (Hons) or an equivalent in any branch of Life Sciences/ Medical Sciences/ any branch of Biology under regular pattern securingthe minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent.

Selection Process: On merit basis.

Ph.D (3 year)

Eligibility: 

Candidate should hold

(i) M.Tech Degree of a University or equivalent for Ph.D in Engineering / Technology in respective branch with 60% aggregate marks.

(ii) Master’s Degree of a University for Ph.D. in Sciences / Humanities / Social Sciences / Management in respective discipline or equivalent with 60% aggregate marks.

(iii) Consistently good academic performance is desirable.

Selection Process: Valid Score in NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR(JRF) or equivalent national level examination.

 Application forms can also be obtained by post by sending a demand draft  in in favour of Jaypee University of Information Technology, Payable at Shimla along with the application (not applicable for online paid applicants) to

For M.Tech program, GATE qualified candidate may apply directly and Non GATE qualified candidates should clear the PGET conducted by the university.

If a candidate is applying under JEE (Main) 2020 category and also wants to apply under NRI Category/ 10+2 marks based admission to B. Tech. in Bioinformatics  programs, the candidate must apply separately by paying the required application fee.

After 15-20 days of submission of the application form, candidates shall be able to see the receipt details of their applications and essential data on the website.

Candidates are advised to keep with them the original receipt of the Speed Post/ Registered Post issued by the post office and photocopy of the filled-in Application Form for future reference.
