Selection Process

Admission to the M.Sc. program is based on merit.

For B.Tech. in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics candidate will be given admission throug JEE MAIN/ Merit based.

• 50% seats are allotted through JEE Main.
• 50% through merit in the qualifying examination.

For B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology,  Civil, Candidate has to pass JEE MAIN.

Admission to the Ph.D program is based on rank secured in NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR(JRF) or equivalent national level examination. 

Admission Process 

Interested candidate may visit official website of the institute to apply online.

Candidate can go to the admission counter of all Jaypee Universities to apply off-line.

Application forms can also be obtained by post by sending a demand draft  in in favour of Jaypee University of Information Technology, Payable at Shimla along with the application (not applicable for online paid applicants) to 

If a candidate is applying under JEE (Main) 2020 category and also wants to apply under NRI

Category/ 10+2 marks based admission to B Tech in Bioinformatics/ B Tech or Integrated M Tech Biotechnology programs, the candidate must apply separately by paying the required application fee

Candidates shall be able to see the receipt details of their applications and essential data on the website only after 15-20 days of submission of the application form.

Candidates are advised to keep with them the original receipt of the Speed Post/ Registered Post issued by the post office and photocopy of the filled-in Application Form for future reference.
