Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM) offers following programs for the academic year 2023-2024

MBA (2 year)

Seats: 200

Eligibility: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree from recognised university/ institute.

GE/ NC-OBC: Minimum of 60% marks (OR CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale)

SC/ ST/ PwD: Minimum of 55% marks (OR CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale)

Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed Degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. However, if selected, the admission of such candidates to the program will be provisional, only if he submits a certificate latest by May 31, 2023 from the competent authorities of his/ her university/ college/ institute  stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.

The candidate should be medically fit.

Candidates belonging to PwD category seeking admission to MBA are required to appear before a medical board on or before October 31, 2023 at IIT Kharagpur.

Admission to reserved category candidates will be as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process: Valid CAT Score.

Candidate has to go through following process

 First, the candidates who have applied successfully  to  the  program  are  shortlisted  for  Personal Interview (Online-PI).

Secondly, the candidates who have been selected through the Online-PI process  are  offered  final  admission  to  MBA  on  the  basis  of  a  cumulative  performance score based on application rating and performance in Online-PI.

Candidates for admission to the 2023-25 batch are selected from among the candidates who attend the WAT-PI, with 60% weightage given to WAT-PI, 20 % to Application Rating (AR) and 20% to CAT score at the final stage of selection to arrive at the Aggregate Score. Selection at this stage will strictly be based on ranks on the Aggregate Score.

Fees: Rs.2,25,000/- Per Semester

Executive  - MBA ( 15 Months)

Eligibility: Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience and a 1st class Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Technology or a 1st class masters degree in Science, Economics or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at the Bachelors degree level), with the following criteria:

For institutes

a) awarding Degree based on aggregate marks secured in all years of the qualifying Degree.

Or

b) awarding degree based on aggregate marks secured in the final two semesters or final year of the qualifying  Degree:

• GE/NC-OBC: Minimum of 60% marks (OR CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale).
• SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 55% marks (OR CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale). 

Selection Process: Selection is through a written examination and interview at Kolkata(as mentioned in location).

Reservation of seats for SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWScandidates will be as per the GOI rules applicable to IIT Kharagpur.

You do not need to send any hard copy to IIT Kharagpur.

You would need to upload the following documents while filling up the application form:

1. Scanned copy of any age proof (For example – Voter ID, Passport etc.)

2. Scanned copy of caste certificate for reserved categories

3. Scanned copies of mark sheets of 10th std (secondary/matriculation level), 12th std (higher secondary/intermediate level) & graduation certificate. If you are in the final year of graduation degree program, please upload the provisional certificate.

4. Proof of work experience. If you have work experience certificate from your employer(s), upload it. Else, upload the joining letter and the first & the last pay- slips.
