Eligibility: (1) Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree in relevant stream from recognized university/ institute.
Minimum marks shall be secured 55%.
A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
Provided that a candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8- semester Bachelor’s degree program should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.

(2) Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. program with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program.
A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.

The candidates qualified in UGC / CSIR / NET / SLET / FIPand those working in sponsored research projects shall be exempted from writing the written test, however they have toattend the interview.

Application for admission to the UG/ PG programs will be available directly / through online in the university / university website on payment of Rs. 100/- (Online) for UG, Rs. 200/- for PG Programs and Rs. 600/- for Ph.D Programs ( SC/ ST- Rs. 300/- for Ph.D Programs) payable to
The Registrar, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore - 641 043 at Coimbatore.SC/ ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu can get the application form at a half price on production of an attested copy of Community Certificate.
Applications should be submitted either directly or through online only.
Please submit application as per instructions given in the university website.
Application may be submitted online even before the publications of 10+2 results.
However admission will be done only after receiving the 10th marks.
All applicants are required to register for CUET and enter the same in the completed application form.
