West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS): Admission 2022

West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS) invites eligible candidate for admission in following programs for the academic year 2022-2023

BVSc and AH (Veterinary) (4 year)

Eligibility:

1. Applicant must be Indian Nationals.

2. The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.

3. Minimum age should be 17 years and not more than 25 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.

4. Upper age limit relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC category candidates.

5. Candidate should have passed 10+2 from recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode.

6. Minimum marks obtained by the candidate is 70% (60% in case of SC/ST/OBC category)

Selection Process: Valid score in  EVETS conducted by WBJEEB.

Fees: Rs. 9,860/- Per Year

B.Tech (4 year)

Specialization:

•  Dairy Technology

Eligibility: 

1. Applicant must be Indian Nationals.

2. The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.

3. Minimum age should be 17 years as on 31st December of the year of application

4. Upper age limit relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC category candidates.application.

5. Candidate should have passed 10+2 from recognised board with with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in boththeory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects.

6. Minimum marks obtained by the candidate is 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC category)

Selection Process: Valid score in  WBJEE.

Fees: Rs. 9,860/- Per Year

Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) (4 year)

Eligibility: 

1. Applicant must be Indian Nationals.

2. The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.

3. Minimum age should be 17 years and not more than 25 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.

4. Upper age limit relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC category candidates.

5. Candidate should have passed 10+2 from recognised board with with Physics,Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theoryand practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode

6. Minimum marks obtained by the candidate is 50% (40% in case of SC/ST)

Selection Process: Selection of students for admission will be based on marks obatined in 10+2 or it's equivalent examinations.

Fees: Rs. 9,860/- Per Year

MVSc and AH (Veterinary) (2 year)

Eligibility:  Candidates  should hold Bvsc-AH Degree from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates) with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC)

Selection Process:  Selection shall be strictly on the basis of merit and performance in the admission test and personal interview.

Fees: Rs. 15,000/- Per Year

M.Sc. (2 year)

Specialization:

•  Dairying

Candidates  should hold B.Sc. Degree from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates) with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC)

Selection Process:  Selection shall be strictly on Merit in the qualifying examination.

Fees: Rs. 15,000/- Per Year

Master of Fisherier Science (MFSc) (2 year)

Eligibility:  Candidates  should hold B.F.Sc.  Degree from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates) with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC)

Selection Process:  Selection shall be strictly on the basis of merit and performance in the admission test and personal interview.

Ph.D (3 year)

• Dairy Technology
• Fisheries Science
• Veterinary Science

Eligibility: Candidate should pass Master’s Degree in Veterinary & Animal Sciences, M.Tech. (Dairy Technology/ DairyChemistry/ Dairy Microbiology) and M.F.Sc. and obtained at least 55% marks.
Selection Process: Merit in the qualifying examination.

Diploma Program (2 year)

Specilaization:

• Veterinary Pharmacist

Eligibility:

1. Applicant must be Indian Nationals.

2. The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.

3. Minimum age should be 17 years and not more than 32 years as on 31st December of the year of application year

4. Relaxation in upper age limit will be given to SC/ST/OBC category candidates.

5. Candidate should have passed 10+2 from recognised board with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks in all the above four subjects.

6. Minimum marks obtained by the candidate is 45% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC category)

Students of the Vocational stream or Open schooling are not eligible for the course.

Selection Process: Selection of students for admission will be based on marks obatined in 10+2 or it's equivalent examinations.

Fees: Rs. 30,150/- Per Year

West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS) Admission Process 2022

1. The candidate shall have to apply separately for admission to each course.

2. Candidate should visit university website to fill application form.

3. SC/ST/OBC and PWD  candidates should attach copies of certificates (duly attested) from the appropriate authorities along with the application forms.

4. Application forms duly filled in all respect must be submitted to the

as per admission schedule either by post or by hand.

5.  The application received after the  due date will not be considered.

6. The selected candidates will not be informed individually.

Merit list for admission in different courses will display in the Notice Board of the Controller of Examinations at Vivek Bhawan, 68, K.B. Sarani, Kolkata-700 037 as well as in university website.

Application fee- Non-refundable

• Rs. 250/- for Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC)

B.Tech. Important Dates 2022

The Admission of 1st semester B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) course from the Candidates allotted to West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences through WBJEE-2021 e-Counselling will be held as per following schedule.
