Lateral Entry- Duration 3 year: Candidate must have passed the Diploma in Engineering from an AICTE approved Institution in the relevant branch with at least 60% in aggregate.

Only those candidates who fulfill these conditions would be eligible for appearing in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the University for Selection of Diploma Holders for Lateral Entry to B.Tech. Degree program in the relevant discipline. Further details can be seen on the University Websit.

Eligibility: Candidate should pass Master degree in related stream with 60% marks.

Selection Process:

1. The short-listing of applications for the purpose of admission test/interview shall be done by the concerned School Research Committee (SRC).

2. Ph.D. students shall be required to go through an Entrance Test conducted by the SRC of the School. Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/teacher-fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil. program may be exempted from appearing for the written test.

3. The candidates who qualify the Written Test will be required to appear for an interview/viva-voce to be conducted by SRC where the candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a SRC. The interview/viva voce shall also consider the following aspects, viz. whether:

• The candidate possesses the competence for the proposed research;
• The research work can be suitably undertaken at the University/Faculty/School/School;
• The proposed area of research can contribute to new/additional knowledge.

4. Preference will be given to GATE/NET qualified candidates
