Pachhunga University College (PUC) was established on 15th August 1958. It is situated in Aizawl in Mizoram state of India and accredited from NAAC. The college offers undergraduate courses in 21 subject areas of Arts, Science and Commerce streams. It has also had 6 add on courses and UGC-Community college- Diploma in Mushroom Cultivation.

Eligibility:
For admission into M.A. in Mizo, candidate must have passed B.A. in Mizo or with Mizo as an elective
For admission into M.A. in Philosophy, candidate must have passed B.A. in Philosophy
For admission into M.Sc. in Life Sciences, candidate must have passed B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Botany/Zoology
Admission Process for Admission Application:
Candidates can apply Application of admission is through online portal at https://pucadmission.mizoram.gov.in. It is not necessary to upload or submit documents during application.
Application fee: An application fee (which includes the prospectus) of ?200/- should be paid at the time of written tests.
Written test:
- It will consist of 50 marks based on relevant topics from Mizoram University Under Graduate CBCS syllabus.
- For Life Sciences, there will be 50 multiple choice questions covering cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, physiology, and endocrinology.
- For Mizo and Philosophy, there will be 40 multiple choice questions with 1 essay, which carries 10 marks.
Interview:
- The sum of written test and merit marks will be used for screening the eligibility of candidates for interview.
- The number of candidates summoned for interview shall not cross triple of the class capacity, i.e. 30.
- Candidate must produce original mark sheets and certificates at the time of interview.
Admission based on Written Test and Interview and weightage as follows:
- Candidates need to score in Written test which carries 45% weightage
- Qualifying exam (UG exam) carries 50% weightage
- Final Interview carries 5% weightage
- The total score out of 100 will determine final selection for admission.
