Himalayan College of Nursing (HCN): Admission 2021

Himalayan College of Nursing (HCN) offers following programs for the academic year 2021-2022

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc.-Nursing) (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate must have passed the 10+2 from recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 45% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.

For SC/ST/OBC- A minimum of exact 40% marks inaggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Age: Candidates should be between 17 to 35 years on or before 31st December of the admission year.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test.

The candidates are shortlisted on basis of the qualifying examination as per eligibility criteria prescribed by INC.

The merit list is displayed and shortlisted candidates are required to attend personal counseling session, to be eligible to get offer for admission to the program.

The personal counseling committee selects students on the basis of candidates’ qualifying testimonials, credentials and medical examination.

Fees: Rs. 1,50,000/- Per Year

M.Sc. Nursing (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.

Candidate should have passed B.Sc. Nursing/ B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Regular or recognized IGNOU Centre) exam with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

Minimum one year work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing or one year work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is required.

Selection Process: On merit basis of the qualifying examination.

The candidates are shortlisted on merit basis of the qualifying examination. 

The merit list is displayed and shortlisted candidates are required to attend personal counseling session, to be eligible to get offer for admission to the program. 

The counseling committee constituted by SRHU selects students on the basis of candidate’s qualifying testimonials, credentials and fitness in medical examinations by Medical Board of the university.

Fees: Rs. 1,80,000/- Per Year

Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate must have to pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must obtained a minimum 45% marks in aggregate from recognised board.

For Sc/St/OBC: Minimum 40% marks.

Age: Minimum age shall be 17 Years before 31 Dec (Current Year).

Selection Process: On merit basis of the qualifying examination.

The merit list is displayed and shortlisted candidates are required to attend personal counseling session, to be eligible to get offer for admission to the program.

Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) (3 year)

Eligibility: Candidate must have to pass 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must obtained a minimum 45% marks in aggregate.

For Sc/St/OBC: Minimum 40% marks.

Age: Age Shall be between 17 to 35 years before 31 Dec (Current Year).

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test.

50% seats will be filled through the Entrance Examination conducted by the State Government.

50% by SRHU.

Fees: Rs. 75,000/- Per Year

Application forms are available at Admission Cell of Swami Rama Himalayan University and can be obtained in person on Cash payment of Rs. 1,000/- or through Post by sending a Demant Draft of Rs. 1,100/- drawn in favour of 'Swami Rama Himalayan University' payable at State Bank of India, Jolly Grant (Bank Code No. 10580), Dehradun. 

Documents to be Uploaded/Submitted

1. 10th  or equivalent examinations mark sheet/Certificate as proof of date of birth.

2. 10+2 qualifying examination mark sheet

3. Pass certificate of 10+2 or qualifying examination (12th Class) from a recognized board.

4. All Mark sheets of Diploma/Graduation.

5. Degree or Diploma Certificate.

6. Registration in State Nursing Council (Parent / Present) (Mandatory).

7. Experience Letter of minimum one year work Experience (in Hospital/College/Public Health)

8. Applicable for M.Sc. Nursing only (Mandatory).

9. Transfer certificate.

10. Migration Certificate.

11. Aadhar Card.

12. NOC (No Objection Certificate) from present employer, if applicable.

13. Permanent Residence Certificate.

14. Recent Character Certificate from the School/College last attended/Gazzetted Officer.

15. Category or Cast SC/ST/OBC Certificate issued by the competent authority (applicable only for P.B.B.Sc. Nursing Program).

16. 4 Recent Colored Photographs Passport Size. (To be provided at the time of collecting Admission Order).
