Faculty Centre for Integrated Rural Development and Management (FCIRDM) offers following programs for the academic year 2021-2022

M.Sc. in Agriculture and Rural Development (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold B.Sc. (Hons) Degree from  recognised university.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates in all the courses.

Students who have appeared in the final year exam and whose results are awaited may also apply.

Selection Process: Marks obtained in the qualifying examination, together with written test/vivavoce/interview will be considered.

Fees: Rs. 20,000/- Per Semester


 

M.Sc. in Agriculture (Agricultural Biotechnology) (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold B.Sc. (Hons) Degree from  recognised university with Bioscience/ Agriculture/ Related subjects.

Or 

B.Sc (3 year general degree) in Bioscience/Agriculture/Related subject. 

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%. 

5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates in all the courses. 

Students who have appeared in the final year exam and whose results are awaited may also apply.

Selection Process: Marks obtained in the qualifying examination, together with written test/viva voce/interview will be considered.

Fees: Rs. 20,000/- Per Semester


 

Post Graduate Diploma in Post harvest and Food Technology (PHFT) (1 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a B.Sc. (Hons) Degree from recognised university/institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

Or

B.Sc. (General) in any Science subject with Physics /Chemistry / Mathematics / Physiology/ Psychology/ Nutrition or allied subjects,or Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT) from any recognized university.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 55%.

Or

Bachelor of Physical Education with minimum 55 % marks from anyrecognized university.

5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Selection Process: Marks obtained in the qualifying examination, together with written test/vivavoce/interview will be considered.

Fees: Rs. 8,000 /- Per Semester


 

 Ph.D (3 year)

Specialization:

  • Agricultural Biotechnology
  • Agriculture and Rural Development
  • Environment and Disaster Management
  • Genetics and Plant Breeding
  • Biological Sciences

Eligibility: Candidate should hold M.Sc. Degree in relevant stream from recognized university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates in all the courses.

Students who are appearing or have appeared in the final year/semester exam of PG degree and whose results are awaited may also apply.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Written Test.

The CSIR/DBT/ICMAR/ICAR NET awardee need not appear for the written test, but will have to appear for the interview. However, an INSPIRE awardee will have to appear for both the written test and the interview.

Fees: Rs. 18,000/- Per Semester

On the envelope please write "Application to Course Name" Application forms can be collected from the IRDM Faculty centre of the university, located at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Campus, Narendrapur (near main gate) during office hours on payment of Rs. 250/- by cash.

Attachments along with the application form:

1 Attested photocopies of the documents and an extra photograph for Admit Card along with the application form. However, they shall be required to produce the original documents at the time of interview.

2. Certificate and Marksheet of 10th and 10+2 or equivalent examination.

3. Marksheet of B.Sc. Final Examination for PG course.

However, in case of candidates awaiting final results, the marksheet of the last part of examination, along with a certificate from the Head of the institution stating that the candidate has appeared for the final examination and that the results are awaited, will be needed for consideration of application. But the candidate must submit the mark sheet of BSc  final exam soon after their results are published. It must be noted that the candidates shall be disqualified if they fail to obtain the requisite minimum marks as stated above.

4. Conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.

5. Certificate in proof of age (10th/10+2/School Final/equivalent examination by the State Board).

6. SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable.

7. Transfer certificate from the board/ university in which candidate last studied should be produced at the time of admission.

8. Medical/Health certificate from registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form to be obtained from the Ashrama Dispensary (at the time of admission).

9. Certificates, if any, of extra-curricular activities.
