CSIR- National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO) offers Ph.D program for the academic year 2023-2024

Ph.D Science (3 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be secured 55%.

Selection Process: Candidates having a valid National level fellowship (JRF/ SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc.), INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowships are eligible. 

CSIR-NIOAdmission Process 2023

CSIR- NIO conducts interviews of the students only once in a year in the month of June/ July for admission to the doctoral program starting from August every year.

The advertisement for admission goes out to various leading newspaper for the country normally in the month of April.

Interested candidates who are eligible can apply from April at https://acsir.res.in/.

Online application will close by May.
