B.Sc. in Nautical Science (3 year)

Seats: 360

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam or its equivalent, with minimum 60% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and at least 50% marks in English.

 Age: Below 25 years at the time of commencement of the course.

1. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) Category shall be relaxed by 5 years.
2. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to Non–creamy layer of Other Backward Classes (OBC) Category shall be relaxed by 3 Years.
3. The maximum age limit for women candidates of each Category shall be relaxed by additional 2 Years.

Medical Standard: Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight 6/6 in better eye, 6/9 in other eye and with no colour blindness.

Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) (1 year)

Seats: 160

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a Degree of BE / B.Tech in all Mechanical Engineering Streams e.g. Mechanical and Automation, Mechanical and Electronics, Mechanical and Automobile etc. However, the word “Mechanical should be first indicating that mechanical engineering is the core and the second subject is the elective.

Or

All Naval Architecture streams e.g. Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ship building, etc.

However, the word “Naval Architecture” should be first indicating that Naval Architecture is the core and second subject is the elective.

Or

Hold a Degree of BE/ B.Tech in Marine Engineering (OR)

BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Age: Below 28 years at the time of commencement of the program.

Electro Technical Officer (ETO)(17 weeks)

Seats: 80

Eligibility: Candidate should  have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with minimum 50 % marks in English Language at 10 of 12 standard exam.

Passed three years' Diploma with 60% marks or four year's Degree including lateral entry, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent.

The diploma /degree courses must have been recognized by any State or Central Government or the AICTE.

iv) Passport is mandatory.

Age & Medical fitness: Not more than 35 years on date ofcommencement of training and medically fit including eye sight andhearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (MedicalExamination) Rules, 2000 as amended.
