Eligibility and Selection Procedure for PhD in Khallikote University Candidate must hold a Master's Degree or a Professional Degree in a relevant area declared equivalent to the Master’s Degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point grading scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures. Selection Procedure: Through an entrance test (excluding exempted candidates as described in section 6 of PhD Regulations) followed by the viva-voce. The qualifying marks in the entrance test shall be 50% for all categories of candidates. The syllabus of the entrance test shall consist of Research methodology and the subject (course wise) with equal weightage. Candidates exempted from the entrance test: 1) A candidate who is qualified in a national level test such as UGC-NET (with JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (with JRF)/ DBT-JRF/ ICMR-JRF or equivalent with research fellowship. 2) UGC-NET/ UGC-CSIR NET/ SLET/ GATE/ SRF (CSIR or UGC or ICMR or ICAR or equivalent)/ Teacher fellowship holder or those candidates who have passed M.Phil programme as per the guidelines of UGC in force for M.Phil Programme during the time of advertisement. 3) A NET (with JRF) qualified person, employed (regular basis) in other university/institution/college, who is sponsored as a full-time candidate by the said organization, with at least two years of experience 4) A NET (with JRF) qualified regular Faculty member of this University (KUB) should have been relieved on study leave for a period of at least two years. |

Submission of Completed Application Form
The candidates are advised to fill up the application forms carefully.
Application form carrying incorrect or false information and incomplete in any respect will be subject to rejection.
Dully fiiled application form should be submitted with the following documents:
a. Attested copies of the mark sheets and certificates of all examinations starting from 10th standard onwards.
b. Demand Draft or Online transaction slip/ reference of Rs. 1000/- towards the cost of Application Fee.
c. Two self-attested recent passport size colored photographs.
d. The envelope containing the application complete in all respect must be superscribed.

e. Candidates belonging to any reserved category must submit an attested copy of the caste certificate from the competent authority as per Govt. of Odisha guideline. Candidates, who have not submitted caste certificate along with application form will not be considered under reserved category.
f. Candidate must write the email clearly because all correspondence will be made through email only.
Duly filled in application form complete in all respects will be accepted through post at Khallikote University office on or before last date.2019.

Candidates in all categories have to pay a sum of Rs 500/- (five hundred only) through online. Without payment application will be rejected.
Documents to be submitted with the application form:
All candidates are required to submit the self attested photo copies of the following documents:
- HSC/10th certificates and mark sheets
- 10+2 /12th certificates and mark sheets
- Degree certificates and mark sheets
- Post Graduation certificates and mark sheets
- Equivalency Certificate in case of any Degree obtained from University outside Odisha.
- Certificate of Headmaster of the school to the effect that he / she has passed HSC in Odia medium (in the cases who have passed from Board of Secondary Education, Odisha without Odia as MIL).
- Residential Certificate issued by Tahasildar / Additional Tahasildar.
- Caste Certificate in case of SC, ST and SEBC candidates, by virtue of birth
- PH Certificate in case of PH candidates.
- Ex-serviceman Certificate in case of son / daughter / spouse of Ex-serviceman.

All in -service candidates shall submit the Xerox copies of the following documents attested by the Headmasters / Headmistress/Principals as mentioned below along with their application forms .
- All Certificates and Mark sheets in Photo copies
- Copy of the appointment letter and joining letter
- Copy of the Service Continuance Certificate
- Copy of the first and last page of the Service Book in case of teachers serving in Government / Government aided schools
- Copy of the approved management at the time of appointment of in-service candidates
- Copy of the resolution of Management in case of Non-Government aided recognized schools showing that the appointment has been regularized
- Caste Certificate in case of SC, ST and SEBC candidates, by virtue of birth
