Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IITBBS) was established on 22nd July, 2008.

IIT Bhubaneswar operates in three campuses.

Permanent Campus at Argul

The permanent campus at Argul is about 30 km from the Bhubaneswar City, 35 km from Bhubaneswar Biju Pattanaik International Airport and 8 km from Khurda Road Junction railway station. The Samantapuri campus is about 15 minutes drive (8 km) from the Bhubaneswar Railway station and 20 minutes drive (12 km) from the Airport. The Satyanagar campus is about 5 minutes drive (~4 km) from the Bhubaneswar Railway station and 15 minutes drive (8 km) from the Airport.
