Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Certificate Courses in International Maritime Academy Pass 10th from recognised board with subjects English, Mathematics & Science with 40% aggregate. English 40% in 10th /10+2 with subjects English, Mathematics & Science at 10th Std. Or Pass in 2 year ITI course approved by DVET with minimum 40 % aggregate marks in final year of ITI & 40 % aggregate in English 40% in Xth / XIIth Age Limit: Maximum 25 years of age as on 1st of January or 1st of August. For SC/ST Candidtes Maximum age Relaxation is of 5 years. Physical Standards: Medically fit as per the standards set by M. S. Medical Examination Rules. Eyesight: Candidates have to Qualify a full eyesight test conducted by the Mercantile Marine Department before being finally selected for the course. They should have 6/6 in each eye without visual aids and should be free from colour blindness. |

Admission Process
Candidate should visit institute official website and download application form or can be directly cllected from office to block the seat.
Reservation fee is Rs. 5000/-
Reservation fee should be paid through Demand Draft in favour of “International Maritime Academy Trust”Payable at Chennai. (Please verify your eye sight before reserve your seat). Reservation Receipt will be sent immediately. The Balance course fee has to be paid as intimated by the Academy.
Final year (10+2 )students can also send the filled-in Application form along with the reservation fee (Seat Reservation Receipt will be sent immediately).
The students who have reserved their seat should report the Institute Administrative office along with the passport size Photograph (Two), Original Mark sheet & Passing Certificate of 10th std & 12th std. (The Reporting Date will be informed to the Students).
Verification of Mark sheets & Medical Test will be conducted at the Academy.
