Selection Process
Admission to the all program is based on marks obtained in qualifying exam.
Admission Process
Step 1. Generate Student ID: The candidate has to generate a unique Student by clicking on "Generate Student ID" menu option and fill the required details. The Student ID will act as Login ID for every activity related with students like Download Roll No for Entrance Test/Counselling/Admission etc. The candidate, who has already Student ID generated in previous class , need not to generate the Student ID again and moreover he/she can proceed for further registration steps sequentially.
Step 2. Login: The candidate should Login using Student ID and Password. After successful Login, the candidate will be entered in the "Candidate Area" where different menu options like "Fill Baic Details", "Fill Academic Details", "Course Registration", "Fee Payment", "Print Application Form", "Download Admit Card" etc shall be available.
Step 3. Basic Details : The candidate is advised to fill few important details like Nationality, Domicile etc in this step.
Step 4. Academic Details: The candidate must fill academic details of different examinations passed. In case, no details regarding Roll Number , Marks Obtained, Total Marks etc of a particular examination is available at the time of academic details filling step then candidate is advised to enter "0" instead of leaving the cell blank. The candidates shall be provided the "Editing Option" for filling academic details wilh due course of time as per availability of concerned details.
Step 5. Course Registration : To register/apply for a course, the candidate must fill course registration form and he/she must check and ensure his/her eligibility for the course.
Registration Fee for SC/ST (of Punjab) is Rs. 650/- and for all other categories it is Rs. 1,300/-. (Registration Fee for B.Tech (based on JEE) is Rs. 2,200/- for all categories.)
Registration Fee for Foreign/NRI Students is US$ 500.
Registration fee is non-refundable.
Step 6. Registration Fee Payment: After successful Course Registration, the candidate is advised to proceed for payment of Registration Fee . The fee may be paid either in any branch of HDFC Bank throughout India by generating bank challan or through online mode (NetBanking/Credit/Debit Card).
Step 7. Print Application Form: Once the fee paid by candidate is confirmed, the candidate may take printout of Application Form. The candidate has to take printout of Application Form every time he updates academic details using "EDIT Option" which will be made available with due course of time.
Step 8. Download Admit Card: If admission is through "Entrance Test" then candidate is required to download Admit card.
Step 9. Check Result of Entrance Test: Result of entrance test will be published on the university web site.
Step 10. Counselling: Qualified candidates are required to appear personally for counselling on the respective counselling date. While coming for counselling candidate must be bring all his/her original certificates along with.
Step 11. Admitted candidates: After counselling, list of provisionally admitted candidates will be published on the university website.
Each candidate shall bring the following certificates/documents in original and their selfattested photocopies along with a hard copy at the time of counselling.
(i) 10th or equivalent examination certificate bearing testimony to date of birth;
(ii) Detailed marks card of the qualifying examination.
(iii) Character certificate from the Principal of the college/school last attended.
(iv) Two recent passport size photographs duly attested by the Principal of the College/School last attended/gazetted officer. Photographs must be pasted on the Form with glue (Please do not use staple pins).
(v) Reservation certificate as applicable.
(vi) Residence certificate wherever applicable.
For B.Tech. courses the following documents in original need to be produced by the candidate at the time of counselling:
(i) Hard copy (printed version) of the online application form filled by the candidate in triplicate along with three sets of attested photocopies of the following documents.
(ii) Detailed marks sheet of 10+2 or equivalent examination.
(iii) 10th or equivalent examination certificate bearing testimony to date of birth.
(iv) Reservation certificate as applicable.
(v) Residence certificate.
(vi) Character certificate from the Principal of the college/school last attended.
(vii) JEE (Main) Admit Card (For B.Tech. Courses).
(viii) JEE (Main) Score/Rank Card (For B.Tech. Courses).
(ix) Two recent passport size photographs duly attested by the Principal of the College/ School last attended.
(x) Migration and Eligibility Certificate in case of candidates from other University/ Boards.
