Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam 2020 is being conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, vide Act Amendment No. 1156(2) LXXIX-V-1-15-1(Ka), 24-2015 dated Sept 9, 2015 Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 23 of 2000.

The entrance examination for Degree level engineering institutions and other professional colleges has been assigned to Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow vide Govt. order no. 4649/????-1-2018-14(54)/2012 dated 27-12-2017. 

Admission to First Year: The Entrance Examination for admission to first year of the following courses offered at the Institutions affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow including other mentioned universities situated in territory of Uttar Pradesh for the academic year 2020-2021 shall be conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.

Direct Admission (Latearl Entry) To Second Year of B.Tech/ B.Pharm/MCA: The eligible candidates  seeking direct admission to second year of B.Tech (for Engineering Diploma holders and B.Sc. Graduates) or B.Pharm (Only for pharmacy Diploma holders) or MCA (for BCA, B.Sc. (IT/ Computer Science) Degree holders) in institutions affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow are required to submit the application forms by the last date. Such candidates are also required to appear in the specified paper of entrance examination.

Such seats are limited to a maximum of 20% of previous year sanctioned intake in institutions/ colleges for different courses at first year level.

However for B.Tech the students belonging to the B.Sc. stream shall be considered ONLY AFTER filling the seats in this category with students of Diploma stream.

Direct admission to Second year shall not be made in B.Arch/BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA/ Courses.

For admission to first year of B.Tech/ B.Pharm/B.Des/ MCA (Integrated):  Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) in aggregate in required three subjects.

• Compulsory subject for B.Tech/B.Des/ MCA (Integratd): Physics & Mathematics.
• Anyone of the following Subjects: Chemistry/ Bio-Technology /Biology / Technical Vocational subject.
• Compulsory subject for B.Pharm: Physics & Chemistry
• Anyone of the following Subjects: Mathematics/ Bio-Technology/Biology / Technical Vocational Subject.

For admission to first year of BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA (Integrated):  Candidate must have clearly passed 10+2 examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing minimum 45% marks without grace (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate with any discipline.

For admission to first year of B. Arch: Candidate must have clearly passed 10+2 examination of U. P. Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing

(i) minimum 50% marks in aggregate and

(ii) clearly passed without grace, each compulsory and optional subjects.

A candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central / State Govt., is also eligible for admission to first year of B. Arch only, and provided the candidate has passed the Diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate without grace.

Such candidates will have to appear in the entrance examination for first year of B. Arch.

For admission to first year of B.Tech (Agriculture): Candidate must have clearly passed 10+2 examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University in agricultural subjects and secured minimum 45% marks without grace (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate.

All Eligible candidates for B. Tech First year are also eligible for B. Tech. Agriculture.

Compulsory subject for B.Tech: (Agriculture Engg.) Agriculture discipline.  

For admission to first year of MBA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, a candidate must have passed Bachelor's Degree course of three years minimum duration from any recognized IndianUniversity; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks inaggregate.

For admission to first year of MCA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, a candidate must have passed Bachelor's Degree course of three years minimum duration from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U. securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.

Candidate must have passed Mathematics at 10+2 level or Graduation level.

Lateral Entry- B.Tech (Lateral Entry): assed 3-years Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 with minimum 45% marks  for General & OBC and 40% for SC/ST category.

B.Pharm (Lateral Entry):  Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 45% marks  for General & OBC and 40% for SC/ST category.

MCA (Lateral Entry):  BCA, B.Sc (IT/  Computer Science) Degree from a recognized institution with 50% marks  for General &OBC and 45% for SC/ST category.

UPSEE 2020 Fees

• For Male / Transgender Candidates of General/ OBC Category: Rs. 1300/-
• For SC/ST Category/Female/PH Candidates of All the category: Rs. 650/-

Mode of Payment: Payment of application form can be done through Credit/Debit Card/ Net Banking.

Application Form for UPSEE-2020 can be submitted On-Line only through website http://www.upsee.nic.in from 27th January 2020

The On-Line application form submission consists of following three simple steps.

(i) Registration (Filling up of Personal and other Details)

(ii) Uploading of Scanned Images of Photograph, Signature and Thumb Impression

(iii) Payment of Examination Fee and Printing of the “Confirmation Page”
