Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) SET 2020 Entrance Exam for admission to following programs.
 

• Integrated Certificate-Diploma (ICD)
• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
• Master of Technology (M. Tech)
• Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)
• Master of Science (M.Sc.)
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

Medium of Examination: The medium of entrance examination for SET-IA, SET-III and SET-V will be English. However, for candidates appearing in the entrance test for 3 Year ICD Program (SET-I), question paper for Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics will be provided in English, Hindi & Punjabi language as per choice of the candidate filled in the application form at the time of registration. 

Pattern of Examination: For SET-I, SET-1A & SET-III there will be only one paper of two & half hours duration and of 150 marks. For SET-V, the paper shall be of two hours duration and of 100 marks.

The syllabi and distribution of marks for SET-I,SET-1A & SET-III, SET-IV and SET-V are given in the Chapter-III, IV, V ,VII and IX respectively and all the syllabus is given in the preceding chapters.

Note: There will be objective type questions with four options having single correct answer. For each incorrect response, one fourth (1/4th) of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted for SET-I, SET-IA and SET-III. There shall be NO NEGATIVE marking for SET-V (Ph.D. Programmes). No deduction of marks will be made in case if no response is indicated for a question in the OMR Answer Sheet.

Admission to B.E. (4 Year), M. Tech. and M.Sc. program will be as per details given below:

In case, the seats remain vacant in any of the programs the institute will conduct its own Entrance Test at SLIET, LONGOWAL ONLY.

The detailed information about this test will be given separately and shall be uploaded on the institute website in due course of time.

  • Eligibility: Matric pass (with pass in English, Math and Science)

• Diploma Programmes (SET-II) (2 years)
  • Eligibility: 10+2 pass (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths) with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories

• Degree Programmes (SET-III) (3 years)
  • Eligibility: Diploma holders with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories)

• M.Tech Programmes (SET-VI) (2 years)
  • Eligibility: Bachelor degree in Engineering/Technology in the concerned/allied branch or equivalent with at least 60% marks (55% for reserved categories)

• MBA, M.Sc Programmes (SET-VII) (2 years)
  • Eligibility
    • MBA: Bachelor/Post Graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% for reserved categories)
    • M.Sc: Bachelor degree with Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics as main subject (as applicable) minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved categories)
• Ph.D Programmes (SET-VIII)
  • Eligibility: Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Science/ Humanities/Management with at least 60% marks (55% for reserved categories)

Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply.
