Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) offers following programs for the academic year 2021-2022
Diploma Programs in Agriculture (2 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam from recognized board.
Candidates should have studied and passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or) Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology in the qualifying examinations.
Candidates who passed HSC under vocational stream and studied Biology and Vocational subject Agricultural Practices (theory and practical) are eligible to apply.
Candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years on the first day of July of the admission year However, for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar/ Scheduled Tribes there is no age limit.
Selection Process: Candidate will be selected on the basis of merit of qualifying exam.
The maximum number of permissible attempts to pass in the qualifying examination is as follows:
Fees: Rs. 42,100/- Per Year
Diploma in Agricultural Engineering (3 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam from recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
Students from Vocational Stream are not eligible for Diploma in Agricultural Engineering.
Candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years on the first day of July of the admission year However, for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar/ Scheduled Tribes there is no age limit.
Selection Process: Candidate will be selected on the basis of merit of qualifying exam.

Specialization:
Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 exam with
Upper Age Limit: 21 years.
The SC/SCA and ST category has no age limit.
Five years of age relaxation will be given for differently abled candidates.
Eligible Minimum Qualifying Marks (Academic Stream
Open Competition (OC): 55 % aggregate of all the four required subjects
Backward Class (BC) and Backward Class Muslim (BCM): 50 % aggregate of all the four required subjects
Most Backward Class (V): 45 % aggregate of all the four required subjects
Most Backward Class and Denitrified Communities (MBC & DNC): 45 % aggregate of all the four required subjects
Most Backward Class (MBC): 45 % aggregate of allthe four required subjects
Scheduled Caste (SC / SCA): A pass in qualifying examination with four required subjects
Scheduled Tribe (ST): A pass in qualifying examination with four required subjects.
Candidates will be admitted based on merit from among those who applied under Industry Sponsor / Non-Resident Indian(NRI) quota.

M.Sc. (2 year)
Specialization:
Eligibility: Candidate should hold Degree of B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture/ B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture / B.Sc. (Forestry) / B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry/ B.Sc. (Sericulture)/ B.Sc. (Hons) Sericulture / B.Sc. (Ag.) Biotechnology/ B.Tech. (Hort.) / B.Tech. (Ag. Biotech.) / B.Tech. (Biotech.) / B.Tech. (Bioinformatics).
A candidate who has undergone course credit system with a minimum OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or 6.60 out of 10.00 in Bachelor’s Degree Programme can apply for Masters Programme. However, for SC/ST candidates, minimum OGPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 in bachelor’s degree is sufficient.
Selection Process: Students who qualified the GAT B Entrance Examination can apply through TNAU online PG Application.
Students selected under DBT, GoI sponsored program will be allotted to the Department of Plant Biotechnology, Centre for Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore and AC & RI, Madurai.
20 seats will be reserved for the candidates qualified and selected through GAT B Entrance Examination conducted by Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad for the current academic year.
MBA Agri Business Management (2 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should hold Degree of B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture/ B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture / B.Sc. (Forestry) / B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry/ B.Sc. (Sericulture)/ B.Sc. (Hons) Sericulture / B.Sc. (Ag.) Biotechnology/ B.Tech. (Hort.) / B.Tech. (Ag. Biotech.) / B.Tech. (Biotech.) / B.Tech. (Bioinformatics).

Ph.D (3 year)
Specializations
Eligibility: Candidate should hold Master's Degreein relevant stream from recognised university/ institute.
A minimum OGPA of 7.00 out of 10.00 in Masters Programs is eligibility to apply for Doctoral Program.
Selection Process: Candidates who have successfully completed four year undergraduate degree program and two year Master's program (specified below) and awarded by any one of the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs)/ Colleges affiliated to SAUs/Central Agricultural Universities (CAUs)/ICAR Deemed Universities/Central Universities with Agriculture Faculty listed by ICAR/ any other institutes accredited by NAEAB (ICAR) alone are eligible to apply for the doctoral program.

Complete payment process using net banking of Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- for SC / SCA / ST Candidates) for UG programs
Application form fee for Diploma programs is Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ SCA/ ST)
Application and Entrance Exam fee for Master's Degree programs is Rs. 1,600/-
Rs. 1,550/- for SC/ SCA/ ST ( Application form fee is Rs. 100, Rs. 50 for or SC/ SCA/ ST).

Declaration Form and Appendices / Checklist.
This completes and confirms your applications submission.
Signed Joint Declaration Form and other documents and originals must be produced at the time of admission / certificate verification only.
Candidate who are applying under reservation quota must submit the form signed by competent authority.
Note: Shortlisted candidates must pay a non-refundable counseling fee of Rs. 3,000/-(Rs. 1,500/- for SC / SCA / ST categories) through online.
Those who fail to pay counseling fee will not be considered for online counseling.
The following original documents must be surrendered at the time of admission
1. Provisional / Degree certificate of Bachelor’s program for admission to Master's Degree Program.
2. Provisional / Degree certificate of Masters program for admission to Doctoral Degree Program
3. 10th and 10+2 marks card and certificate
4. Transfer / Migration certificate
5. Conduct certificates: one from the Head of the Institution and two from the Professors of the Institution where the candidate last studied.
6. Mark list/transcript card of Bachelor’s/Master’s degree as the case may be.
7. The original community certificate issued by the competent Revenue authorities should be produced for verification. An attested copy of original community certificate should be submitted for record.
8. A copy of the online fee payment receipt.
Candidates who have paid the fees should register their courses on the date specified or within seven working days (inclusive of Saturdays) from the commencement of semester failing which the candidates will have to forfeit their admission.
