B.Ed (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should be

1. Trained in-service teachers in elementary education.

2. Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode.

3. The school teachers with a Bachelor’s Degree in Tamil/ English/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ History/ Geography/ Computer Science or a Post- Graduate degree in Economics/ Commerce/ Home Science.

4. The candidates should have undergone 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 (15) pattern of study and passed the qualifying examination conducted by the respective State Board or CBSE or any other recognized Board of examination/ and UG Degree Examination of the UGC recognized Universities in any one of the school subjects offered by Directorate of School Education at the Secondary / Higher Secondary Education level.

5. However, candidates not qualified in 10+2 examination or PUC but possessing Two Years Bachelor Preparatory Programme Certificate / Foundation Course / Two Years Diploma Course conducted by State Government/ recognized Universities and qualified with three years UG Degree course are also considered eligible.

6. The candidates who have passed part III under Triple Major System in UG Degree are eligible to take one of the three subjects only as optional II. The aggregate marks of all the three subjects will be considered for admission.

7. The candidates who have qualified in PG Degree (5 Years Integrated Course) under 10+2+5 pattern of study are eligible.

 8. Candidates must be currently working in schools (Primary / Middle / High School / Higher Secondary / Matriculation) in Tamil Nadu recognized by State / Central Government.

Eligibility: A pass with 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree in any Biological subjects or Bachelor's Degree with one allied subject in any Biological subjects.

M.Sc. Botany (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a B.Sc. Degree in Botany / Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology with 50% marks or above obtained from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University or equivalent to B.Sc. as recognized by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in Botany / Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology with 50% marks or above are eligible to be admitted into this course.

However, the relaxation to 50% for SC/ST and MBC candidates is allowed as per the State Government Norms.

Eligibility: A candidate with B.Sc Degree Examination in Physics or Applied Physics is eligible for this Course. Candidates who have passed any other UG degree course in science such as Biophysics, Nanoscience, Electronics, Medical Physics etc. may also be considered provided 80 % of the syllabus of the core subjects of the UG course is equivalent to that of the UG course in Physics of this University.

Entrance exam fee is Rs. 150/-

Application form: Rs. 500/-for SC/ST there is no fee for the category.

SC / ST candidates are exempted from the payment of Application fee for any one course  only.

It should be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, M.S.University payable at Tirunelveli or challan to be remitted into Indian Bank, M.S.University Branch, Abishekapatti, Tirunelveli-12
