Indian Maritime University (IMU) invites application for admission to the eligible candidates for the academic year 2023-2024
B.Sc. Nautical Science (3 year)
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with-
Maximum age:
Relaxation of 5% for English marks will be applicable for candidates who belong to the Scheduled Tribes and are natives of the Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Additionally, both the candidates’ parents must be born in the islands and belong to the Scheduled Tribes of their islands.
For SC/ST candidates: There will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks of PCM; however, it will not apply to English Marks.
Physical Standards: Medically fit as per the standards set by M. S. Medical Examination Rules.
Eyesight: Candidates have to qualify a full eyesight test conducted by the Mercantile Marine Department before being finally selected for the course. They should have 6/6 in each eye without visual aids and should be free from colour blindness.
Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for the course.
Selection Process: Admission to the course is based on rank obtained in IMUCET/ CUET.

Physical Standards: Candidate must be in good mental and physical health and free from any deficiency likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties, as per the medical standards laid down by the Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India.
Eyesight: Candidate must have 6/6 vision in both eyes. Color blindness is not permitted.
Medical fitness has to be certified by DG Shipping approved company doctors.
Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for the course.

Candidates seeking admission to the Marine Programs should have a Passport. The name in the Passports hould be the same as given in the 10th Std. Certificate.
Candidates who are applying on the basis of CAT/ MAT/ CMAT scores for MBA Programs and those who are applying on basis of GATE/ CUET (PG)/ PGCET for M. Tech. Programs need to register for Counselling.
The information regarding this will be announcedafter release of IMU-CET rank list.
Candidates with valid score card of CAT/ MAT / CMAT are eligible for MBA and the candidates with valid score card of GATE/ CUET (PG)/ PGCET are eligible for M. Tech.
Application Fee for applying online registration
The Application Fee for Registration is non-refundable and is for issuing of Rank Certificate. IMU reserves the right to adopt any method such as Entrance Exam (IMU-CET)/Normalisation of entry qualification marks to arrive at ranks, etc. for issuing of Rank Certificate to qualified candidates.

The candidates will be able to make online payment for the Application Fees for Registration, download and print the filled-in application in standard formats.
For Online Registration, applicants should visit the website of the Indian Maritime University at http://www.imu.edu.in and click on the CET Aug 2023 hyperlink / Admission for BBA hyperlink. Relevant links can also be seen under Admission Menu in the Home Page of IMU.
The CET candidates will be able to download the Hall Tickets. Automated e-mails/ SMS will be sent to every registered applicant on successful registration of Application, uploading of Hall Ticket, publication of results, etc.

The candidates who wish to apply on the basis of CUET scores for UG are not required to apply in this portal and should apply later during Spot Counselling registration for UG Programs.
Candidates who are applying on the basis of CUET scores for UG Programs need to register for Spot Counselling. The information regarding this will be announced on the university website after IMUCET rank list.
After online counselling, the seats will be allotted and the candidate isrequired to confirm the seat within specified number of days by payingthe Programme fees (Rs.25000-Non-refundable) through portal. Afterfinal seat allotment, the candidate will be required to appear before theDirector of the campus allotted with medical certificate and originalcertificates for verification as per the dates mentioned in the Allotment Letter.
Candidates desirous of admission to DNS – February 2024 batch are requiredto take this CET (August CET 2023) compulsorily since there will not be anyseparate CET for February 2024 batch.
