B.Tech (4 year)
Specialization:
Eligibility: Pass 10+2 Science Stream with PCM.
Selection Process: Valid Score in JEE MAIN/ JEE Advanced.
Final admission to B.Tech program is determined by the cut-off released by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), followed by a counselling process.
M.Tech (2 year)
Specialization:
Eligibility: Candidate should hold B.E/ B.Tech Degree in relevant stream with minimum 50% marks.
Minimum marks for the SC/ ST category, 55%.
Selection Process: Valid Score in GATE.
MBA (2 year)
Specialization:
Eligibility: Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree with minimum 60% marks.
Minimum 55% marks in case of SC/ST category.
Selection Process: Valid Score in CAT/ XAT/ MAT.
M.Sc. (2 year)
Specialization:
Eligibility: Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum marks shall be obtained 55%.
For SC/ST and PwD Category, minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.
Selection Process: Valid Score in JAM.
M.A. in Humanities and Social Science (2 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum marks shall be obtained 60% for candidates belonging to the general category and OBC category.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories must secure a minimum of 55% in aggregate.
Selection Process: Valid Score in HSEE.
Executive- MBA (2 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree in any stream from recognised institute/ university.
Minimum three years of work experience required.
Selection Process: Entrance Test and Interview.
Ph.D (3 year)
Specialization:
Eligibility: Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree / Dual Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
Selection Process: Valid Score in UGC – NET or JRF / CSIR-JRF / GATE Score or any national level examination tenable for the current year in the relevant area or international level post graduate admission examination such as GRE (Non-HTRA).
GATE Score is valid only for 3 years.
Reservations are applicable to EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates as per Govt. of India rules but the final selection is based on the performance of the candidate in“test and interview” or “interview” conducted by the respective Departmental Selection Committee.
IITM: Ph.D Application Process 2021
The Application fee is as follows:
Application fee is non refundable.
Only Foreign Nationals including PIO & OCI card holders are exemptedfrom paying the Application Fee.
Candidates who wish to apply to multiple departments or research programs should register separate application and pay the application fee separately.
Candidate should read the instructions given in the information brochure carefully before applying for admission.
Online application form and admission brochure is available on the institute research admission website.
Candidates required to submit the application form online. There is no download forms available.
After filling form, candidates are advised to take print out of the filled form for future reference.
The OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate and Income & Assets certificate [for EWS category] issued after 01.04.2020 (for financial year 2020-2021) in the prescribed format must be uploaded in the ONLINE application and submitted at the time of interview/admission.
Candidates called for written test/interview should bring with them Printed copy of the application submitted online along with Original and photo copies of relevant certificates/documents.

(c) Copy of GATE score card or Original UGC - JRF/NET/CSIR-JRF/ DAE-JEST or other fellowship award letter.
(d) SC/ST/OBC-NCL community certificate for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL category issued by the respective State Government. [OBC-NCL candidates should produce the latest valid OBC Non-creamy layer community certificate in the prescribed format obtained after 01/04/2020].
The candidates claiming for EWS (Economically Weaker sections) reservation should submit valid Income & Assets certificate in the prescribed format obtained after 01/04/2020.
(e) Authorised Doctor’s Certificate with disability descriptions in the case of Person with Disability (PwD) candidates.
(f) Project Co-ordinator’s certificate in the prescribed format and a copy of project appointment letter from Dean IC & SR of IITM in the case of Project Associate if already appointed.
(g) For External/Part-time/Staff candidates, NOC from the present employer should be Submitted.

(c) Aadhar Card.
(d) First page of SSLC/SSC/Matriculation certificate.
(e) Degree certificate/Provisional certificate & Mark sheets/ Grade Cards of all the semesters of degree’s obtained.

IITM: Admission Process 2021
Candidate should register first to the JEE MAIN/ JEE Advanced exam for B.Tech program
Candidate should register first to the IIT JAM website for M.Sc and for M.Tech programs GATE exam respectively.
For M.A admission, candidate should register first for Humanities & Social Science Entrance Exam (HSEE) exam conducted by the institute.
For MBA program admission, candidate should register first in for CAT exam or any other national exam accepted by the institute.
Candidate who have more than 3 years work experience and obtained valid score in entrance exam and personal interview is eligible for the admission in EMBA program.
