Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) offers admission for the academic year 2023-2024 to following programs
B.Tech (4 year)
Specialization:
Eligibility: Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized board or university with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject securing at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
Selection Process: Valid Score in HPCET/ JEE MAIN.
In case the seats remain vacant after JEE MAIN and HPCET, the remaining seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized board or university.
Lateral Entry- Duration 3 year: Candidate should have passed Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. with Mathematics as a subject, obtained minimum 45% (40% in canse of candidates belonging to reserved category) marks.
Selection Process: Selection for the course under Lateral Entry Scheme shall be made on the basis of merit of diploma in appropriate branch conducted by HP Takniki Shiksha Board.

B.Pharm (4 year)
Eligibility: Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics/ Biology subject securing not less than 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
Candidate should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.
Selection Process: Valid Score in HPCET.
In case the seats remain vacant after admitting through HPCET, the remaining seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized board/ university.
Lateral Entry- Duration 3 year: Candidates must have passed Diploma Examination in D.Pharmacy from an institution approved by the PharmacyCouncil of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
Selection Process: Selection to the B.Pharm underLateral Entry Scheme shall be made on thebasis of merit of Diploma in Pharmacy conducted by H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board.

B. Pharm. (Ayurveda) (4 year)
Eligibility: Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects from recognised board.
Minimum marks shall be obtained 45% (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
Selection Process: The admission to B. Pharmacy (Ayurveda) first year Degree course shall be made on the basis of merit of 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized board/ university.
B.Arch (5 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with minimum 50% in aggregate or candidates who have Passed Diploma examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject having obtained minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
Selection Process: Valid Score in NATA/ marks obtained in 10+2.

B.Sc. (3 year)
Specialization:
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognized board shall be eligible to apply.
Candidate should have obtained minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ ST category) in the qualifying examination.

Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT ) (4 year)
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognized board shall be eligible to apply.
Candidate should have obtained minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ ST category) in the qualifying examination.

For SC/ ST (Both boys/ girls): 29 years as on 1st July of admission year.
Selection Process: Valid Score in GATE/ HPCET.

In case the seats remain vacant after admission through on merit of National Level Test and HPCET, the remaining seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of B.E/ B.Tech Degree awarded by a recognized university.
