Selection Process: All seats will be filled up on the basis of merit in the CUET-2023 to be conducted by NTA. However, upto maximum 50% seat shall be reserved for candidates graduated from Assam University affiliated colleges with provision of lateral migration based on merit. Candidates without CUET score shall not be considered eligible for admission. A Weightage of five additional credit points shall be given to the candidates possessing a master degree with at least 50% marks. Other things being equal preference shall be given to the candidates with experience of teaching in recognised institutions.

Candidate should carry minimum two years of Industrial experience / experience in the fields related to Management.
Selection Process: Candidate must qualify Departmental written assessment test to get eligible for the course.

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a Master's Degree in relevant stream from recognised university/ institute.
Minimum marks shall be obtained 55%, in case of SC/ ST candidate minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.
Selection Process: Valid Score in AUCET. except those who have qualified UGC-NET/ CSIR (JRF,NET)/ SLET/ GPAT/ direct awardees of DST/ ICMR/ DRDO/ INSPIRE and other state or central level fellowship.
The admission will be made on the basis of merit in Entrance Test.
Assam University (AU) Admission Process 2024
Reservation:
Scheduled Caste category (SC) : 15%
Scheduled Tribe category (ST) : 7.5%
Other Backword Class (OBC) : 27%
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) : 10%
Candidates seeking admission under OBCcategory should submit valid NCL Certificatefor the current financial year (i.e. 2023-2024).
Candidate claiming reservations facilityunder EWS category must submit validIncome & Asset certificate issued byappropriate authority.
There is a provision for 5% reservation forpersons with disability.
For B. Tech. courses 50% of the total seats ineach Department are reserved for thestudents of North-eastern region.
The Northeastern region comprises Assam, ArunachalPradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur,Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
There will be a relaxation of 5% marks in thequalifying (HS/10+2, UG) examination forthe candidates belonging to SC & STcategories as per GOI regulations.
However,OBC (NCL) candidates may also be given arelaxation in the minimum eligibility by the Departmental Admission Committee to the extent of 10% of the minimum eligibility forthe UR candidates.
For example, if theminimum eligibility for admission to a courseis 50% for the UR candidates, the minimumeligibility for the OBC (NCL) would be 45%(i.e., 50 minus 10% of 50).
All types of reservation of seats for admissionas well as relaxation of marks in qualifyingexamination will be guided by the Govt. of India rules.
Students graduated from colleges affiliatedto Assam University will be eligible for 30%weightage on the aggregate percentage ofmarks secured in the qualifying examinationfor the purpose of merit calculation.
How To Apply
A candidate can apply for admission to not more than two departments if eligible.
Separate application is to be submitted for separate department.
Candidate should note that from Academic Session 2023-2024 all admission to various UG/ IG courses of Assam University will be only on the basis of NTA-CUET Score to be conducted by National Testing Agency.
The Admission Portal of University for admission to UG/ IG Course will be opened at a later date after declaration of NTA-CUET result.
Candidates willing to study in any of the UG/ IG Courses of the University must apply with their NTA-CUET score at that time.
