Amrita School of Mass Communication (ASMC): Admissions 2024

Amrita School of  Mass Communication (ASMC) offers admissions to the following programs for the academic year 2024-2025

Bachelor in Mass Communication (BMC) (3 year)

Eligibility: Candidates should pass in 10+2 examination with an aggregate minimum of 50% marks or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Candidate from the foreign universities should obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

Selection Process: AValid Score in CAPTEST conducted by Amrita University.

Selection is based on performance in Communication Aptitude Test - 

• CAPTEST (Entrance Exam)
• Group Discussion (GD)
• Personal Interview (PI) .

Fees: Rs. 1,22,000/- Per Year

Master of Mass Communication (MMC) (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 system) in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with an aggregate 50% marks. Candidate from the foreign universities should obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. 

Selection Process: AValid Score in CAPTEST conducted by Amrita University.

Selection is based on performance in Communication Aptitude Test - 

• CAPTEST (Entrance Exam)
• Group Discussion (GD)
• Personal Interview (PI) .

Fees: Rs. 1,02,000/- Per Year

PG Diploma in Journalism (PGDJ) (1 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree regular pattern in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with an aggregate 50% marks. Candidate from the foreign universities should obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. 

Selection Process: Valid Score in CAPTEST conducted by Amrita University.

Selection is based on performance in Communication Aptitude Test -  

• CAPTEST (Entrance Exam)
• Group Discussion (GD)
• Personal Interview (PI)  

Fees: Rs. 1,02,000/- Total

The application fee is Rs. 500/- + GST. Application Fee is to be paid online.

Online Process

Step 1: Click on ‘Apply Now’ button.  

New user can register by filling your name, email address, mobile number, password of your choice, your qualification, city and state. 

Note: Already registered users can click on the “login” tab and enter the email address and password. 

Step 2: After registration, please check your registered email address and verify your email.  

Note: All future communications will be sent to this registered email address and hence verification of email address is mandatory. 

Step 3: After email verification, fill in the application with all relevant details. (Do not leave any field blank) and upload the relevant documents and photograph.

Step 4: Pay application fee online, with credit card / debit card or net banking.

Candidates are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI), based on their academic and test score and will be informed about the PI date by email and SMS. (Candidate who are not shortlisted will not get any communication)

Offer letter will be sent to the short-listed candidates by email and SMS.

Selected candidates need to make the payment online on or before the last date.
