Women Polytechnic Aizawl was established on the 7thSeptember 1998 by the Government of Mizoram. It has approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The College is under the administration of the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, Govt. of Mizoram.
The college has 3 lecturer in humanities and science, 6 lecturer in Modern Office practice, 5 lecturers in Electronics and telecommunication, 4 lecturers in Garment Technology, 3 Lecturers in Beauty Culture and cosmetology and 1 Computer Programmers.
Women Polytechnic, Aizawl is one of the two polytechnics in Mizoram set up with the objectives of making available facilities for technician education, quality improvement and training in specific fields of technology specially designed for women.
