Eligibility for registration in the M.Th Degree program is granted to individuals who meet the following criteria:

1. B.D Examination Pass: A person who has successfully passed the B.D examination of the Senate of Serampore College with Second Class and obtained an average of B Grade (57.5% and above) in the cluster of BD Studies, including the optional papers relevant to the candidate's chosen branch.

2. B.C.S. Degree with Higher Secondary Education: Individuals with a minimum of Higher Secondary Education (12th grade or equivalent) and a B.C.S. degree from Serampore College with a grade of II Class (B Grade - 57.5% and above) are eligible to register for M.Th courses in the following areas: all branches of Christian Ministry Cluster, History and Mission Cluster, and Women Studies and Social Analysis of the Theology Cluster. However, they are required to undergo one year of full-time ministerial exposure under the guidance of institutional/church heads. Prior to admission to the M.Th program, candidates must complete a minimum of one year of full-time practical work under the supervision of the post-graduate college where they seek admission and successfully pass the qualifying papers.

3. ATA (India) Accredited M.Div. Degree: Holders of an M.Div. degree from ATA (India) accredited Full Member Colleges with a grade of B Grade (57.5% and above) are eligible to register for M.Th. They must write nine qualifying papers and achieve a minimum grade of B Grade (57.5% and above). Candidates are allowed a maximum of two attempts in each branch. They may choose to write only arrear papers or any number of papers in the second attempt.

B.C.S. Degree holders aspiring to pursue or upgrade to the M.Th Degree must fulfill the following requirements:

• Spend one year at an affiliated B.D. College, completing all the courses of the final B.D. studies (preferably including M.Th. studies) to fulfill the courses not undertaken at the B.C.S. level, particularly the Language requirements as specified by the M.Th Regulations.
• Complete a minimum of six months of practical work as specified by the registering Institution.
• Students currently enrolled in the B.C.S. course should first complete the degree before transferring to the B.D. program.

Admission Criteria: To be eligible for the Master's program, candidates must pass a three-part entrance exam conducted by the college, which includes:

1. Departmental Written Exam: Evaluating the applicants' expertise in the intended area of study.
2. English Exam: Assessing the applicants' ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in the English language.
3. Interview: Testing the applicants' knowledge and proficiency in the intended area of study.
