Eligibility and Selection Procedure for BEd in St Xavier College - Kolkata Candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from recognised university/ institute. Minimum marks shall be secured 50% for General Category and 45% for Reserved Categories. Maximum age limit is 40 years as on 1st July of admission year for freshers. Besides a good academic record, candidates must have: a. Studied at least one subject offered in the B.Ed. course at St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata either at Graduation (with at least 300 marks) or at Post Graduate level. b. A good command and fluency in English, both spoken and written. Selection Process: The final selection will be on the basis of academic performance and the performance in the interview. |

Selection Process
For all UG program selection is done on the merit basis of marks obtained in qualifying exams except B.Sc. Mass Communication, Bachelor in Multimedia, and B.B.A. (Honours).
B.Sc. Mass Communication, Bachelor in Multimedia, and BBA (Hons) to get admission in the courses candidate has to appear for an entrance examination.
Admission to all PG courses is based on marks obatin in admission test.

Candidate can deposit cash only to the Syndicate Bank, Park Street branch located inside the St. Xavier's College Campus through the Bank Challan generated following the successful submission of the online application. Applications for which the payment is made to any other bank/branch will not be registered by the College even if the bank/branch accepts the application fee.
Take print out of the filled application form along with payament receipt and acknowledgement sheet after successful online submission.
There is no need to submit the application form or the payment receipt to the College office prior to the interview.
All relevant documents along with the form and payment receipt need to be submitted at the time of interview.
Documents Required at the time of Interview:
1. The filled in online application form and the acknowledgement sheet.
2. Application Fee payment receipt.
3. All academic & co-curricular documents, the admit card of interview.
4. Age verification certificate (admit card of class X).
5. University registration certificate.
6. Certificate for reserved category.
7. Disability certificate for differently abled candidates.
8. Baptism certificate for Christian candidates and a letter from the Parish Priest.
9. For deputed candidates
a. Approval of DI of schools.
b. Xerox copy of M.C. Resolution countersigned by DI/ADI.
