Eligibility and Selection Procedure for MPhil in Ravenshaw University Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree in concern subject from recognized university/ institute. Minimum marks shall be obtained 55%. A relaxation of 5% of marks, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates and as per the decision of the Academic Council from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures. Selection Process: Valid Score in EntranceTest. Qualification of any of the following examinations: NET/JRF (conducted by the UGC/CSIR/DET/ other national testing agencies with eligibility for research), GATE or INSPIRE Fellowship, Maulana Azad Fellowship, UGC National Fellowship for SC, ST and OBC candidates, and/or such other research fellowships awarded by the state and the central funding agencies. The students availing Institutional fellowship as per guide lines from the Govt. institution / organisation covered under MoU with Ravenshaw University are also exempted from the written test. |

UG Admission Process
Candidate who wants to take admission has to register first Common Application Form (CAF).
Candidate can visit The CAF will be available in www.dheodisha.gov.in / www.samsodisha.gov.in for applyingonline only.
Students can apply online at Home, Cybercafe, Common Service Center, Internet FacilityCenter operated in Degree SAMS Resource Centers etc.
Applicant shall register her/himself in the portal before applying the online CAF. Applicantneed to follow the below mentioned processes to register in the SAMS port.
Registration Process
1. Go to SAMS website www.samsodisha.gov.in .
2. Click on the Degree (+3) link under Higher Education banner.
3. Click on "New Student Registration" button.
4. Enter Name of the Student, Mobile Number and mail id in the box provided.
5. Click on the "Generate OTP" button.
6. A six digit OTP will be sent to the mobile number provided, which will be valid for 5 minutes.
7. Then enter the OTP number in the box showing in the computer screen.
8. Give your own password and reconfirm the same in the box showing in the computer screen.
9. Password must be at least one Upper Case, Lower Case Digit and Special Character in it e.g. Abcd@7618.
10. Then login to the SAMS Application using the user name (mobile number) & password given during online registration.
11. After registration in the SAMS website (www.samsodisha.gov.in), an e-Space will be created for that particular student/applicant in the SAMS application software.
12. For login to the Student e-Space, click on the "Existing Student Login" using the user name (mobile number) and password given during online registration.

There will be 20 options in Degree CAF and minimum of 5 options.
Option wise fees will not be collected. General candidates will pay Rs. 275/- per application and SC/ST candidates will pay Rs. 175/- per application.
There will be no fee collection from PwD and Transgender candidates.
SC/ST candidates should submit their caste certificate during admission from e-District Portal at the destination college to get the rebate or else they will pay differential amount.
An applicant has to submit the self-attested photo copies of the following documents / certificates with the College Copy of the Common Application Form (CAF).
Original certificates have to be presented before the Admission Committee at the time of Admission for verification.
PG Admission Process
Candidate who wants to take admission to the PG courses has to register first Common PG Entrance Test (CPET).
The PGAdmission will be conducted in subjects as listed in(https://pg.samsodisha.gov.in/Eligibility.aspx) to this CP.
Students can apply online at Home, Cybercafe, Common Service Center, Internet FacilityCenter operated in Degree SAMS Resource Centers etc.
An applicant is required to register to avail different services under CPET throughthe website www.samsodisha.gov.in. The registration is OTP based. Therefore, theapplicant needs to give correct mobile number and e-mail ID.
Fees:
Rs. 500/- for General Candidates and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST candidates- Every additional entrance subject Choice: Rs. 200/- for both General and SC/STcandidates.
There will be no fee collection from PwD and Transgender candidates.
A candidate can apply to appear for entrance in maximum of 05 subjects and alsoprovide preferences for the Universities or Colleges of his preference.
Following documents should be provided at the time of admission:
1. Original Certificates of 10th, 10+2 and Graduation
