Candidate should have passed 10+2 Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or a pass in HSC Examination – Vocational with Physics/Chemistry /Mathematics as one of the subjects or pass in Diploma Course in Engineering or a Pass in any other equivalent course approved by the concerned authority. Mark Eligibility as per Government of Tamilnadu Guidelines:

• General: Minimum average of 50%         
• BC / BC (Muslims): Minimum average of 45%
• MBC & DNC: Minimum average of 40%
• SC/SCA/ST: Minimum average of 40%

Lateral Entry-Duration-2 years: A pass in Diploma Course in Engineering of the state Board of technical Education or its equivalent are eligible for admission to the second year of all B.E/B.Tech courses. The fifth and sixth semester marks are considered for eligibility.
