Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER) was established in 1983 under the Meenakshi Ammal Trust, registered under the Societies Registration Act. The primary objective of the trust is to establish educational institutions such as schools, colleges, polytechnics, and similar entities.
Over the years, the trust has successfully set up schools, polytechnics, engineering colleges, and arts and science colleges. In 1991, the Meenakshi Ammal Dental College was established, affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University.
The College and Hospital Complex of Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research encompasses an expansive 39-acre area, featuring a commendable capacity of 1,110 patient beds, complemented by round-the-clock Hi-Tech trauma care facilities.
