A graduate who has passed the Three year Degree Examinations in any discipline conducted by the Mangalore University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by the Mangalore University, shall be eligible for admission to the Degree of Bachelor of Education, provided:- 

He/She has secured not less than 50% marks either in the Bachelor degree and/or in Master degree Science/ Social Science/Humanity/Bachelor in Engineering or technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics taking into consideration the marks of all the examinations of all the three years( 45% in the case of SC/ST/physically handicapped candidates).

He/ She has studied any one of the languages and two out of the three electives among the subjects specified below:-

Languages:- English, Kannada, Hindi

Electives:- Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology, Mathematics, History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Economics, English, Kannada 

Candidates who have obtained the degree from universities outside Karnataka state shall have studied any one of the languages and at least two elective. Elective subjects under the subjected stated above.Further they shall have studied one of those electives by appearing in the University examinations for at least two years and the principal subject for all the three years. They are required to obtain the Eligibility Certificate from the Mangalore University .
