INSTITUTE OF AERONAUTICS & ENGINEERING was established in the year 1994 run by Institute of Management & Technologies. From beginning it has been actively providing training in the field of aviation with an outstanding performance in National Cadre. Presently, the institute has focused in imparting Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course with its students placed at various international and domestic Airlines/ MRO/ Flying Clubs/ Aviation Institutes/ Aviation Technical support Organization etc., in India & abroad.
The institute was approved in the year 2002 by Director general of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India to impart Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course.
It went further under the banner of SHA-SHIB GROUP to be positioned as one of the leading & largest Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Institute in Asia. This group has completed 30 glorious years in delivering various academic programs.
As the regulatory requirements have changed to meet the 21st century challenge, the institute has also been approved as per the latest regulation i.e. CAR-147 (Basic) by Director general of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India.
This Civil Aviation Requirement is issued in Accordance with Rule 61 and 133B of the Aircraft Rule 1937 derived from the Aircraft act 1934 (XXII to 1934) passed by Indian parliament, Govt. of India under the aircraft rule. DGCA is a regulatory body to deal with all matters pertaining to Civil Aviation in the country.
The institute claimed they follows training manual approved by DGCA, Govt. Of India, students are required to pass the concerned examination conducted by DGCA to get AME license, mere joining AME institute or completing the course will not make any student AME license holder. Also this course is different from an aeroplane engineer and deals with the maintenance field of the aircraft rather than design and research.
