Eligibility |
Eligibility and Selection Procedure for BTech in Gauhati University Candidate must have passed 10+2 in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English subjects in the qualifying examination without grace marks. Minimum 60% aggregate marks in PCB is required in the qualifying examination for the candidates belonging from GEN/ Open category and 50% marks for SC/ ST (P)/ ST (H)/ OBC/ MOBC category. The candidate’s age must be in between 17 to 24 years on 31st December of the year of admission. 3 years age relaxation is provided to the SC/ ST (P)/ ST (H)/ OBC/ MOBC category candidates. Selection Process: Valid Score in CEE Assam. B.Tech (lateral entry to 2nd year) 3-year Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent in theconcerned branch with first class or equivalent grade Selection Process: Admission Test to be conducted by respective departments of GUIST. |

• Scheduled Caste: 7%
• Scheduled Tribes (Plains): 10%
• Scheduled Tribes (Hill): 5%

• Sons and daughters of permanent GU Employees: 1 Seat in each dept with intakecapacity 40 or less and 2 seats when the intake is more than 40 students.

• Moran Community of Assam: 2 seats.
• Extra Curricular: 1 seat in each department.

Register yourself and enter your Name, mobile no., email id, father’s name, and select domicile Click on “Submit”.
On completing the form an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile no.
Click on “Verify OTP” link.
Now fill your personal details in the registration form and submit it.
Log in to your account and click on “Online Admissions” link.
Fill in the application form.
Upload all the documents in .jpg format.
Submit the application form.
Pay fee online.
Filled registration form should be reached to the university admission office before due date.
Mode of Paymen: There is the option of making the payment of fees bank charges through the Online mode as no other mode of payments will be entertained.
Following documents should be provided at the time of admission:
1. Degree Marksheets, Certificates from the Head of the Institution last attended
2. 10th Certificate or Admit Card for verification of age
3. Registration Certificate of the last course attended.
4. Relevant certificate(s) from concerned authority in case of those applying for admission under any category of reservation.
