  1. Out of 1200 seats, 800 seats are reserved for the students of Catchment Area strictly on merit basis which include 20 seats each for students from Kurung Kumey, Lower Subansiri and Kra Daadi with Education as one of the subjects and 30 seats for students from Papum Pare with Geography as one of the subjects.Definition of Catchment for Arts: Students permanently residing in capital complex/ passing out from a school located in the capital complex/ students whose parents are employed in the capital complex.
  2. Rest 400 seats are reserved for students from Non-Catchment Area (different parts of the state) strictly on the merit basis. Students with minimum 55% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply under this category.

  1. Candidates who have passed their class XII examination in the academic year with ENGLISH as one of the subjects, are eligible to apply.
  2. For Catchment Area Aspirants, they must have obtained minimum 40% marks in aggregate in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) to be eligible to apply for admission to B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com. Semester-I.
  3. Candidates applying under Open Quota in B. A. Sem. I must have obtained minimum 55 Per Cent in aggregate in Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) to be eligible to apply for admission.
  4. Candidates applying under Open Quota in B.Com. Sem. I must have obtained minimum 45 Per Cent in aggregate in Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) to be eligible to apply for admission.
  5. Candidates applying under Open Quota in B.Sc. Sem. I must have obtained minimum 60 Per Cent in aggregate in Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) to be eligible to apply for admission.
  6. It is mandatory for candidates to come in person to the concerned Admission Committee.
  7. Two seats each will be reserved for NCC and NSS volunteers on merit basis.

Documents required for Admission

The following documents must be enclosed with the application form

  1. TWO self-attested Xerox copies of the following:
  2. Class X certificate.
  3. Class XII Board/ Council Mark Sheet.  
  4. School Leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended (Original must be submitted, otherwise application will be rejected). 
  5. Migration Certificate (only for those who have passed from Boards/ Councils/ Universities other than CBSE/ outside the state).

ONE self-attested Xerox copy of the following:

  • Recently issued SC/ ST/ OBC certificate (if applicable)
  • Physically Challenged Certificate from competent Medical Officer in case of applicant with Physical disability.
  • Two Pass port size photographs. (No attestation is required. Write name and class on the back of each photograph)
