DAV College of Engineering and Technology (DAVCET) has been established under the auspices of the well known largest non-government educational body, The DAV College Managing Committee. The committee is the executing body of the DAV College Trust and Management Society, which was founded in 1885 to commemorate the ideas and principles of Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati.

The College is located at a distance of 1.5 km from Bus Stand Kanina on Rewari-Mohindegarh State High-way, which is also linked with meter-gauge Railway route to Delhi via Rewari and to Jaipur via Mohindergarh and having about 6 up as well as down daily trains.
