Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) is the process through which more than 1.5 lakhs Engineering Aspirants get themselves enrolled into Engineering Colleges of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions through Single Window Counselling. 

Applications are invited for the unified single window admission for first year B. E. / B. Tech. Degree Courses to the University Departments / Constituent Colleges of Anna University, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges and for the seats surrendered by the Self – Financing Engineering Colleges.

Special Reservation form for Sports Quota along with Online Application should besubmitted only in person at the Office of the Secretary (TNEA), AnnaUniversity, Chennai – 600 025. The applications received by Post / Courier will not beconsidered for Sports Quota.

Qualifying Examinations & Eligibility: A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together as given below:

i. General Category: 50%

ii. BC (including Backward Class Muslim): 45%

iii. MBC & DNC: 40%

iv. SC/SCA/ST: 40%

Vocational Subject: A pass in any one of the HSC (Vocational Subject) as given below with any one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a minimum average percentage put together as given below:

i. General Category: 50%

ii. BC (including Backward Class Muslim): 45%

iii. MBC &DNC: 40%

iv. SC/SCA/ST: 40%

Other Requirements:

(i) Maximum age limit 25 years

(ii) Minimum Height 157 cm

(iii) Minimum Weight 48 kg

(iv) Normal Colour vision

Before selecting the course, the candidates shall ensure that they are medically fit for the course

Candidates allotted during counselling will be given the provisional allotment order and a receipt for Rs.5000/- (or Rs.1000/- in the case of SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu) 

Registration Fee of Rs.500/ or Rs.250/-(for ST/SC/SCA Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) the applicant has to pay applicable Bank charges (Payment Gateway) 

The candidates should register and apply only through online by logging on to https://www.tnea.ac.in The guidelines for registration are available in the above web portal.

The filled-in Online Application shall be downloaded and the printed copy must be submitted either by post or in person to, “The Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025,” along with all the required enclosures. The registration fee shall paid by Debit card / Credit card / Net banking.
