Eligibility and Selection Procedure for MSc in The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical UniversityM.Sc (Bio-statistics): A candidate who has passed the B.Sc. Degree Examination with Statistics as the Main branch of study, or a candidate who has passed B.Sc. Degree Examination with Mathematics as the Main Branch of study with Statistics as an ancillary/allied subject or graduate in any subject and with additional diploma in statistics/health statistics from an institution of repute or an examination of some other University accepted by the authority of this University as equivalent thereto.
M.Sc (Biochemistry): Candidates for admission to first year of the M.Sc. (Biochemistry) Post-Graduate degree course shall be required to have passed the B.Sc. Degree Examination in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biotechnology or the B.Sc. Degree Examination in Medical Laboratory Technology or a degree with triple majors with Biochemistry or Chemistry as one of the subjects.
M.Sc (Medical Physics): The Candidates for admission to the first year of the Post Graduate Degree Programme of Medical Physics shall be required to have passed B.Sc. (Physics/Applied Physics) with Mathematics as one of the ancillary subject.
M.Sc (Medical Sociology): The candidate seeking admission to M.Sc., Medical Sociology Course should have passed any degree in Social Sciences, including Medical Sociology, Biological Sciences, Administration and Management studies from a recognized University or a degree in Physiotherapy, Nursing, Pharmacy and Indian System of Medicine from this University or any other University accepted by the authority of this University as equivalent thereto.
M.Sc (Microbiology): A candidate who has passed the B.Sc. Degree Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botony or Zoology as the main subject or the B.Sc., Degree in Home Science or the B.Sc., Degree in Microbiology or the B.Sc., Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or degree with 3 majors in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Genetics or Biotechnology in any combinations.
M.Sc (EPIDEMIOLOGY): A candidate who has passed the following courses are eligible for admission to M.Sc. Epidemiology. The candidates other than this University shall obtain an eligibiligy certificate from this University by remitting the prescribed fees along with the application form before seeking admission to the course:-M.B.B.S.. 2. M.Sc (Health Informatics & Telemedicine): Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the M.Sc. (HEALTH INFORMATICS & TELEMEDICINE) should have passed Degree in any one of the courses – viz B.Sc. (Health Informatics), B.Sc. (Information Technology), B.C.A. (Bachelor of Computer Applications), B.Sc. (Computer Science) and B.Sc. Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Life Sciences).
