Selection Process
All students from India are mandated to participate in the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) through the online platform. The examination is scheduled to take place on Sunday, the 15th of January 2023. It is imperative for candidates to possess a valid SEED score in order to be considered eligible for admission to the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). Please note that the SEED score remains valid for a duration of one year only.

For students aiming to pursue an undergraduate programme at Symbiosis, it is essential to adhere to the following steps outlined below:
Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) - Online Registration
Step 1. Register online by paying Rs. 2,950/- (Rs. 1,950/- for SEED and Rs. 1,000/- for the institute).
The admission process for the B.Des program at the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) is as follows:
Level 1: Candidates are required to take the Online Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED). The results of SEED will be published on the SID website according to the prescribed schedule. Qualifying SEED enables candidates to proceed to the next stage, which is the Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI). Shortlisting for admission is based solely on the chosen specialization during online registration.
Level 2: Candidates must upload their portfolio on the designated portal one day prior to the PRPI. Detailed specifications for the portfolio can be found by clicking on the provided link.
Level 3: Candidates are required to complete the assigned PRPI Task, which will be shared three days before the chosen date of the online PRPI. The PRPI Task must be uploaded on the portal one day prior to the PRPI.
Level 4: Candidates must participate in the online Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI).
The final selection of candidates will be based on their cumulative performance in the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task, and Personal Interaction. Additionally, the candidate's application form and chosen specialization will also be taken into consideration during the selection process.
