Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences: MSc Chemistry (All Streams)
Ph.D. in Biological Sciences: MSc. Life Sciences (excluding Botany and Bioinformatics), MSc. Physiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Zoology or any other branch of life sciences.
Ph.D. in Bioengineering: MTech. Polymer Engineering Technology, MTech. Material Science/BME/Instrumentation/Biotechnology/ Clinical Engineering M.Tech/ME/M.Sc.(Engg)/ MS in either Biomedical Engineering / Electronics and Communication / Electrical & Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology with a minimum of 60% (6.5/10 CGPA) in the qualifying examination.
Ph.D. in Biomaterial Science and Technology: M.Phil (BMT), MSc. Physics, Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, Veterinary Sciences, Biotechnology.
Ph.D. in Health Sciences: Post graduate degree in Modern Medicine, Public Health, Dentistry, Nursing, Veterinary Sciences, Demography, Economics, Sociology, Social Work, Political Science, Business Management (MBA), Public Administration, and Statistics. Other post graduate degrees may be approved by the Academic Committee after examining the merits of the suggestion.
Ph.D. in Medical Sciences: MBBS degree from any university recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) one year compulsory rotating internship or its equivalent. Candidates with Post Gruaduate Medical qualifications can also apply but no special reservation or preference will be given. 55% of marks in MBBS Degree and need to be holders of National Level fellowship from UGC/CSIR/ICMR.
Minimum marks: 60% (GPA 6.5/10) marks in undergraduate and post graduate examinations. Medical Graduates (Modern Medicine) applying for Ph.D. in Medical Sciences should have 60% marks in MBBS.
Selection Process: Performance in written test and interview. Individual JRF Fellowship holders (UGC, CSIR, ICMR, INSPIRE, DBT) are exempted from Written Test, and their selection will be on the basis of Interview only. Individual KSCSTE JRF holders have to qualify in the written test and interview of this Institute.
