The tuition fees for the course are set at INR 1,45,000/- (One Lakh Forty-five Thousand) for non-Odia candidates and INR 1,25,000/- (One Lakh Twenty-five Thousand) for Odia candidates. The total amount should be remitted via demand draft made payable to "Odisha Maritime Academy" and payable at Paradeep.
Additionally, candidates are required to bring cash amounting to INR 11,500/- (Rupees Eleven Thousand Five Hundred) for expenses related to uniforms, and INR 1,500/- (One Thousand Five Hundred) to cover the cost of course books and journal notebooks. The latter amount will be directly paid to the respective vendors in cash by the trainees themselves.
There will be a reservation of 15% of seats for SC/ ST candidates and 50% seat for Oriya candiates.

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Diploma Program (DP) in Orissa Maritime Academy Canddiate should pass 10th standard pass from government recognized board with subjects English, Mathematics & science with minimum 40% aggregate. English 40% In 10th / 12th or 12th standard (any stream) pass from government recognized board with 40% aggregate. English 40% at 10th or 12th but with subjects English, Mathematics & Science at 10th or pass in 2 year ITI course (Fittter / Machinist / Mechanic / Welder / Turner) approved by DVET / NCVT, with minimum 40% aggregate marks in final year of ITI & minimum 40% aggregate marks in final year of ITI & minimum 40% in English in 10th / 12th. Age: Between 17 ½ yrs. to 25 yrs before entry in training on commencement of course. Medical standard: Physically standards as per M.S (Medical Examination for seafarers) Rules 2000 & Rules, 2016 as amended from time to time. Selection Procedure: The Academy has a batch capacity of 40 (forty) students. The training program is scheduled to commence on July 1, 2023. As part of the admission process, the Academy may conduct a viva-voce test based on the candidates' performance in the qualifying examinations. Candidates are responsible for their own expenses related to attending the aforementioned tests in Paradip. The selection process will strictly adhere to merit-based criteria. Seats will be reserved with 15% allocation for SC/ST candidates and 50% for Odia candidates. However, if the desired number of candidates from the aforementioned categories is not available, the vacancies will be offered to other candidates. It is imperative for candidates to refrain from engaging with agents or brokers during the application process, as the Academy will provide guidance for placement opportunities. The selection list will be published on the Academy's website. Additionally, selected candidates must undergo a medical examination conducted by a doctor approved by the Directorate General of Shipping before admission. It is essential for candidates to possess a valid passport at the time of selection and admission. |

Orissa Maritime Academy (OMA) Admission Process
Application forms and prospectus are to be downloaded from institute website and completed application forms should be submitted to the Academy along with a demand draft of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred) only in favour of "Ordisha Maritime Academy" payable at Paradeep and attested photo copies of relevant documents.
