Admission Process
For Admission to B.E program, candidate has to pass JEE exam.
In order to obtain admission to MBA, MCA, M.E. / M.Tech courses through KEA, acandidate must appear for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test , which will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore (Herein after referred to asKEA).
The Post Graduate Common Entrance Test will be conducted in specified places, spread over Karnataka.
GATE qualified candidates from only Engineering and Technology discipline are eligible to take admission to Various M.Tech Programmes under VTU, Belgaum. Candidates with valid GATE score are given first preference for admission to all M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses. Such candidates neednot appear for PGCET.
However, they have to apply through online for admission.
When GATEqualified candidates are not available, seat allotment will be made to non-GATE candidates based onthe merit list of PGCET-2021. Candidates have to make sure that they have valid qualifying marks inGATE in their respective subjects under the category to which they belong (GM/OBC/SC/ST/PD). Ifthey do not have the qualifying marks, they have to appear for PGCET-2021 examination.(OBC/SC/ST/PD is applicable to persons of Karnataka origin only.
Documents required:
The list of documents required at the time of application submission:
- Class 10 and 10+2 certificates and mark sheets
- Score sheet of the concerned entrance examination
- Degree certificates (if applicable)
- Transfer certificate issued by the last institution
- Caste certificate for SC/ST candidates (For Karnataka students only)
- Four passport-size photographs
- Four stamp size photographs
- Anti-ragging affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs 20.
