B.Ed Special Education (MR) (1-year) The National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped (NIMH), Secunderabad has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to the following courses National Policy on Education 1986, states (1) children with mild disabilities will be in regular schools, (2) children with severe disabilities will be in special schools, (3) vocationalization of education should be considered in school level, (4) teacher training programmes should be reoriented to include children with special needs and (5) voluntary efforts must be encouraged, This being the case, the above programme will prepare teacher who can work effectively as resource room teacher in regular school and will have the competencies to teach children with mild disabilities. |

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for BEd Spl. Education in National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped
Candidate should hold Degree of BMR or BRS (MR), B.Sc, BA, B.Com from recognised university. Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%. In case of SC/ST candidate minimum marks shall be obtained 40%. Selection Process: Selection for the admission will be based on marks obtained in previous qualifying exam. |

Selection Process
Admission to the above program is based on marks obtained in qualifying exam.

Candidate can obtaine application form from admission office of the institute in person or by post by submitting demand draft in favour of Director, NIMH, Secunderabad for the required fee.
Cost of application for is Rs 500/- for General/ OBC category and Rs 300/- for SC/ST/PWD category.
