Junagadh Agricultural University (JAU) was first Government Agricultural College in the Gujarat State. It is Affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad till the year 1967 after thant the affiliation transfered to Saurashtra University, Rajkot (1968). Later it became constituent College of the Gujarat Agricultural University (1972). in 2004 the split of Gujarat Agricultural University , it became a constituent of Junagadh Agricultural University from May 01, 2004.
