Candidate should have passed 10th from recognised board with minimum 35% marks in aggregate and 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination with Math ,Science & English Subject. 

Lateral Entry- duration: 2 years:  Pass in 10 +2 Science examination from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent examination with PCM /10 +2 vocational (2 years course) in any engineering trades / 2 years ITI in Engineering trade with pass in HSC  examination / 10th standard examination conducted / declared equivalent by BSE , Odisha securing minimum  30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination.

Reservation:

As per the directives of government, the seats are reserved for the candidates of Odisha state only and the reservation is as follows:

For SC:   15%

For ST :   23%

For Children of Green Card Holder:     5%

For Children/wards of Ex-Servicemen:    2%

For Physically Challenged:    3%

For women candidates of all co-ed polytechnics:      30%

For sports candidates:     0.5%

Candidates passing NCC (A, B and C Certificate examination) :      1%
