Eligibility |
Eligibility and Selection Procedure for PhD in Digital University Kerala Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree from a recognized university in relevant stream For the General category candidates, a 2-year (or more) Master’s Degree with 60% marks or an M.Phil Degree with 60% coursework marks in a discipline relevant to the school in which the candidate is applying is required. SC/ ST/ OEC/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled/Economically weaker section candidates have the same criteria as the General category candidates, except that they need to have only 55% marks. The candidates who have appeared for the final examinations are also eligible to apply if their aggregate marks until then are equal to or above the minimum required marks. If admitted to the Ph.D. program, they have to meet the full eligibility criteria within a date specified by the university. Part-time and Industry Regular Ph.D applicants are additionally required to have a full-time job with at least 5 years of relevant full-time work experience, after their Bachelor’s degree. To apply to the Industry Regular Ph.D program, the applicant should be a full time employee of the industry at the time of application. Selection Process: Candidates must have cleared the Departmental Admission test (DAT) - conducted annually - in July/ August every year and ranked as per the norms. Applications for which need to be submitted before March every year in prescribed application form along with required fees. Or Candidates must have secured a National/ Research fellowships from Government of Kerala or Government of India/ by any agencies or by industries recognized by the University with valid score with committed financial assistance at the time of seeking admission. Or Qualified UGC-NET Lectureship examination or GATE/ ICAR/ KSCSTE/ CSIR/ NBHM /ICSSR. Or Foreign Students sponsored under a scholarship scheme by the Government of India for undergoing PhD program in India. Or Teachers of Universities/Aided Colleges/Government Institutions /Quasi Government recognized by Cochin University of Science and technology and scientists in National Level research Laboratories with a minimum continuous service of five years as permanent employees. |

Selection Process
Candidate should secure valid score in Common Admission Test (ITCAT) / valid GATE score to get admission in M.Sc. in Computer Science.
For MBA admission candidate should pass CAT (IIMs), GRE, CMAT (AICTE), KMAT (Kerala), XAT (XLRI), or NMAT/ GMAT (GMAC) exam after that they will be called for Group Discussion/ Written Ability Test and interview.
