In India, the tradition of living a life of religion is called. With the establishment of Hindu, Jain and Buddhist religions, religion became the main part of Indian life. India is a country of religions like Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi. Apart from some inequalities, places of worship, festivals, gods and goddesses have their own importance in every religion. India has the highest number of followers of Hinduism, which is 80% of India's population. Muslim is the second largest minority religion of India.
Hindu religion
Hinduism is India's largest religion. It is basically based on four Vedas, which are the oldest compositions in the world. Apart from this, eighteen Puranas, one hundred eight Upanishads, Ramayana and Mahabharata are also the principal texts of Hindu religion. There are three major gods, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva. Jain religion
Jainism is one of the ancient religions of the world. There were twenty-four tirthankaras in which Vardhaman Mahavira was the last pilgrim. Vardhaman Mahavira gave Jainism an extensive form. There were two musicals in history in Jainism. It is based on due knowledge, proper conduct, right belief. Jainism is absolutely non-violent religion.
Buddhist religion
Buddhist religion was founded by Gautam Buddha. He got knowledge from his family, taking a sanyas. There are many similarities in the teachings of Hindu and Buddhist religions. Buddhism is based on four truths. Buddhism has been described as the Ashtanga path of sadness. This religion spread rapidly in Southeast Asia and China. The main scriptures in this religion are Abhidhma Pitta, Sutta Pitta, Vinay Pitta.
Sikh religion
Sikhism emerged in the sixteenth century in India. Sikh religion was founded by Guru Nanak Dev. There were ten gurus in Sikh religion. Khalsa creed was established in 1699 AD. Guru Gobind Singh did it in Its religion book is Guru Gratha Sahib.
Parsi religion
Parsi religion was the main religion of Iran. The Parsi people settled in India in the tenth century when Arab invaders invaded Iran. 85% of those who believe in Zoroastrianism in the world live in India. The Book of Zoroastrianism is Jandabesta and the place of worship is 'Agni Mandir'.
Christian Religion
Christianity was founded by Jesus Christ. Christianity came to St. Thomas in India who founded a cathedral in Kerala. 1544 AD in India From the Christian missionary began to work Christianity also spread across India in two hundred years of British rule. Christianity's religion is Bible.
Islam religion
Muhammad was the founder of religion. Islam religion is the second largest religion of India after Hindu religion. Islam religion first came after Arab traders on the Malbar coast of Kerala.
